A MESSAGE FROM BOB MULLEN, DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS

The excitement which surrounds La Salle’s athletic program should be shared by all former varsity athletes, alumni, parents and friends dedicated to the success of the University. This excitement should register with all 22 varsity sports. This newsletter will keep you informed of what La Salle’s current student athletes are accomplishing, of upcoming events, and of what the needs are for the total program. We encourage you to continue your support for your sport, and to attend varsity matches wherever and whenever you can, and special functions which that sport sponsors. This newsletter and other University functions will give the Athletic Department a chance to administer a booster program within NCAA guidelines. Each sport ’s alumni can continue to operate its own separate group under this “umbrella”. You can show your renewed support by subscribing to this newsletter, which will be published eight times during the 1987-88 school year. The cost is $25.00 for one year. This will entitle you to receive the newsletter, a lapel pin which recognizes you as a supporter of La Salle Athletics, and information about and invitations to special functions of your particular team and of the Athletic Department. I hope you’ll continue to support La Salle’s athletic teams. I hope to meet with you sometime during the school year, as we all celebrate La Salle’s 125th Anniversary.
