Using tools and mapping methods from Graphika, a social media intelligence firm, we study more than 10 million tweets from 700,000 Twitter accounts that linked to more than 600 fake and conspiracy news outlets. Crucially, we study fake and con- spiracy news both before and after the election, allowing us to measure how the fake news ecosystem has evolved since November 2016. Much fake news and disinformation is still being spread on Twitter. Consistent with other research, we find more than 6.6 million tweets linking to fake and conspiracy news publishers in the month before the 2016 election. Yet disinformation continues to be a substantial problem postelection, with 4.0 million tweets linking to fake and conspiracy news publishers found in a 30-day period from mid-March to mid-April 2017. Contrary to claims that fake news is a game of “whack-a-mole,” more than 80 percent of the disinformation accounts in our election maps are still active as this report goes to press. -

The closing episode did not only mark an end, however, but also a beginning - of a US remake on Showtime (2011-). Eight series down the line and carrying the weight of critical acclaim, this article works to consider the textual representations and formal constructions of gender through the process of adaptation. -

GLAAD and Proctor & Gamble gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) characters released the results of the first LGBTQ Inclusion in on television. This year marks the sixteenth study since Advertising and Media survey last summer. Our findings expanding that focus into what is now our Where We Are prove that seeing LGBTQ characters in media drives on TV (WWATV) report. Much has changed for the LGBTQ greater acceptance of the community, respondents who community in that time, when our first edition counted only had been exposed to LGBTQ images in media within 12 series regular LGBTQ characters across both broadcast the previous three months reported significantly higher and cable, a small fraction of what that number is today. -

It explores the definition of polyamory and how it relates to the Burner counter-culture. This thesis explores what polyamory’s effects are on the individual and community levels for those who participate in it. The findings concluded that overall the participants reported a perceived positive impact on both the individual level and on community cohesion in this case. -

Actor Alicia Witt Turns Musician with 'Revisionary History'
ALICIA WITT Alicia Witt has had an over three-decade long career, starting with her acting debut as Alia in David Lynch's classic ‘Dune’. Alicia received rave reviews for her role as Paula in Season 6 of AMC’s critically acclaimed series The Walking Dead. Witt also appeared during Season 4 of ABC’s ‘Nashville’ as country star Autumn Chase and in the new Twin Peaks on Showtime, reprising her role as Gerstein Hayward. Witt most recently was seen haunting John Cho’s character as Demon Nikki on Season 2 of Fox’s The Exorcist; other recent credits include the Emmy-award winning Showtime series ‘House of Lies’ opposite Don Cheadle and the hit WB series ‘Supernatural’. Witt is also well known to Hallmark audiences for her annual Christmas movies; her latest, which she co-wrote and is producing, will be released later this year. She can also be seen this fall as Marjorie Cameron in Season 2 of anthology series Lore, on Amazon. In 2014, Alicia joined the 5th Season of Emmy-award winning FX series ‘Justified’ with Timothy Olyphant. Alicia played Wendy Crowe, the smart and sexy paralegal sister of crime lord Daryl Crowe (Michael Rapaport) who takes matters into her own hands to bring him to justice in the Season 5 finale. On stage, she most recently appeared at the Geffen Playhouse in the Los Angeles debut of Tony-nominated Neil Labute play ‘reasons to be pretty’. In 2013, Alicia appeared opposite Peter Bogdanovich and Cheryl Hines in the independent family dramedy 'Cold Turkey', in a performance which NY Daily News critic David Edelstein hailed as one of the best of 2013.
