Each year on Father’s Day, the D-backs join every club to raise funds for prostate cancer. Prostate cancer awareness is important across all of Major League Baseball, but it really hits home in Arizona because D-backs President and CEO, Derrick Hall, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2011. PLAYER, COACH, VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and the D-backs Baseball Academy would like to rec- ognize outstanding youth players, coaches, and dedicated team volunteers. One youth player (ages 6-18), one coach, and one sports team volunteer will be selected from submitted nomi- nations. Submissions must include a brief description of why the player, coach, or volunteer is deserving of the recognition. The D-backs philosophy is that it is “More important to be a Major League Person, than Major League Player.”

The winner will be invited to a D-backs game to be recognized on-field during a pregame cer- emony and will receive a D-backs jersey, four D-backs lower level tickets to the game on their day of recognition and have the opportunity to watch batting practice from the field.
