All students, including German students, are obliged to study abroad during the first semester at one of these partner universities.

The appropriate profile is allocated to each individual student based on previous education and professional experience. The second semester (30 ECTS) takes place at Hochschule Mittweida for students from all partner universities. It engages students in a knowledge-broadening specialisation in Innovation & Business Expansion and includes four core modules:

International Management Risk Management and Venture Capital Enterprise Business Expansion Innovation Management

The third semester (30 ECTS) can take place at Hochschule Mittweida or at the partner university. In this semester, students have the opportunity to engage in a research and development project in cooperation with an enterprise (20 ECTS). This gives them the opportunity to further broaden their management and innovative skills. In addition, students must complete two additional modules of their choice (10 ECTS).

The fourth semester (30 ECTS) takes place at Mittweida, Minsk, Moscow or Gabrovo. The students take part in a Master's thesis, which involves research, a thesis paper, and a defence. The thesis is expected to contribute to the academic progress of knowledge in the selected area of choice. The thesis must be written and defended in English at both degree universities.

The programme offers students the opportunity to achieve two Master's degrees in two different cultural and economic zones simultaneously – one at Hochschule Mittweida and the other at a partner university.
