WORKING EXPERIENCE 2 - Internship, Research and Project Management

1. Korean Handball Federation (KHF), South Korea (January - February, 2018) Position: Intern Work description: To support KHF by working with the Cooperation and International Relations Department of the Local Organizing Committee for the 2018 Asian Men’s Handball Championship held at Suwon, South Korea from 18th-28th January, 2018. English was the main medium of communication for the Championship and so my role was to act as the communication liaison between KHF and participating countries for the Championship.

2. Sustainable Development in African Sport Research Project (2014 - 2015) Position: Research Coordinator (for Ghana) Work description: This is was a Leverhulme Trust research project carried out in Ghana and Tanzania. In Ghana, my responsibility was to manage and recruit research assistants to collect data about the following: i. How sustainability is conceptualised by indigenous agencies that contribute to Sport-for-Development (S4D) interventions ii. Factors that support/hinder the achievement of sustainability in Ghanaian S4D interventions iii. Evidence regarding the achievement (or otherwise) of sustainable outcomes within Ghanaian S4D interventions

3. Beckwith International Leadership Development (BILD), Ghana (2011 - 2014) Position: National Coordinator Project description: BILD Ghana is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) which teaches leadership and life essential skills by engaging children and the youth of Ghana through sport. Its activities are supported by UK Sport and funded by TOP Foundation of the United Kingdom. The BILD programme was also run in Tanzania and St. Lucia besides Ghana.

4. International Development through Excellence And Leadership in Sport (IDEALS), Ghana (2011 - 2013) Position: Project Coordinator, Project description: The IDEALS Ghana placement was a UK Sport programme with a high quality, progressive and co-ordinated sport leadership development exchange programme between the University of Ghana and Edge Hill University, Ormskirk (England). The core objectives of IDEALS were to enhance global awareness of the different ways of delivering sport and physical lessons.

5. International Inspiration Ghana Project – London 2012 Olympic Legacy (2012 - 2013) Position; Technical Working Group Leader, Accra Ghana Project description: The technical working group of sport for development and experts were convened (by UNICEF and British Council, Accra) to map and evaluate current community coaching systems in Ghana. This resulted in the drafting of the National Community-coach Education and Development Framework (NCEDF) for the National Sports College of Ghana. The final draft of NCEDF was accepted and launched by the Ghana Ministry of Youth and Sports in March, 2014.

6. Sports Equipment Project, (May to June, 2011) Position: Research Coordinator in Ghana Project Description: This was a research collaboration, involving Central St. Martins College of Art and Design (London), University for Development Studies (Ghana) and University of Ghana. The research sought to design innovative frameworks for the development of sports equipment in Ghana that can be sourced, created and made in-country in a sustainable way.

1. Football 4 Peace, International, United Kingdom (2014 to 2018) Position: Community Coach Work description: I administered peace education activities through sport/game-based programmes which engage children (irrespective of their race, gender and abilities) on an equal platform of sport to teach them about diversity, fairness, inclusion and consideration. Additionally, I supported other volunteers to deliver their programmes. As a trained community coach of Football 4 Peace (F4P), I have volunteered in The Gambia and South Korea so far.

2. Legonite Handball Club, Accra, Ghana (2009 to Date) Position: Co-founder / Patron, Work description: Legonite Handball Club is made up of former handball players of the University of Ghana Handball Team. Patrons of the Club mainly play advisory role to ensure sure effective and efficient management of the Club.
