BORMIOLI ROCCO VALUES Design Innovate Elevate shapes that appeal products to meet needs glassmaking to to the senses not yet conceived an art form Raw materials and cutting-edge technology EXCLUSIVE XLT TREATMENT Bormioli Rocco’s Xtra Lasting Treatment (XLT) is added to protect and strengthen the stem, the part of the glass most prone to breakage from frequent washing, twisting, and polishing. The treatment is applied when the temperature of the glass is still hot, forming an invisible protective layer on the glass surface that will not wear off over time. This protective layer prevents tiny factures and scratches (the main culprits of breakage in the hospitality industry) from forming on the stem, making the stemware extremely durable without compromising its aesthetic quality. EXCLUSIVE STAR GLASS Star Glass is a new chemical composition that creates glass of unrivaled purity and transparency, yet eco-friendly because it’s completely lead free. Thanks to the total absence of color shading and impurities, Star Glass achieves a level of neutrality that brings style and elegance to the table and allows the color of wines to be perceived without distortion. LASER CUTTING The special cutting process and rim finish ensure the products have particularly even, linear and fine edges which enhance perceived quality and accentuated taste. PULLED STEM During this manufacturing process, the stem is pulled from the bowl making one unified piece that guarantees an absence of micro-fissure for increased durability. Harmonious and slender contours add aesthetic appeal as well as high resistance and flexibility TEMPERED GLASS For more than 30 years, Bormioli Rocco has created and produced a wide range of tempered glass products characterized by unsurpassed strength and functionality–high quality products for the most demanding consumers and foodservice professionals. The tempering process, which consists of subjecting glass to thermal shock as the product is rapidly cooled from 600°C, creates glass 2-3 times more resistant to thermal and mechanical shock than non-tempered glass.
