aving spent ten years working for some of the world’s leading trainers, Kevin Philippart de Foy recently made up Hhis mind to strike out on his own. The decision may have coincided with the racing and bloodstock industries being plunged into chaos due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but he is undeterred. The Belgian-born 29-year-old, who has spent the past five seasons as assistant trainer to James Fanshawe, is moving across Newmarket to take over the reins of Machell Place Stables from the retiring Ed Vaughan.
