Sample Construction Specific Projects July 2017-Present Bethel Contracting – Honolulu, Hawaii Alternate Site Safety and Health Officer I am the SSHO for the $14, 989,000 repair of the HI1620M BEQ Building 1632. The $59.085 million Warriors in Transition barracks and complex design-build construction contract is for building two structures, the five-story, 120 person barracks; a four-story building combining the SFAC, two company operations facilities (COF), and one battalion headquarters (BOF); plus a central plant, parking and other supporting facilities. Responsible for performing safety management, surveillance, inspections and safety enforcement for the contractor. Also the safety and occupational health “competent person” as defined by USACE EM385-1-1.

March 2013- August 2013 HFW KPRS Hawaii Joint Venture—Honolulu, Hawaii Site Safety and Health Officer I was the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO Level 5) on Satellite Tracking Station Relay Replacement. I conducted daily site safety orientation, weekly safety talk, daily safety huddle, MSDS orientation, HazCom, Proper lifting techniques, Class 2 electrical safety for this $722,868 project.

It is an $84 million construction project that will make Ford Island the center of Pearl Harbor Naval Base operations. December 2011 KIUC - Kapaia Power Station – Honolulu, Hawaii Safety Consultant Supervised and trained the workers of IST’s Once Through Steam Generator (OTSG), which is highly efficient in recovering our gas turbine’s exhaust heat in the form of super-heated steam. The steam is injected back into the gas turbine in two ways; first, adding mass flow to the combustor which increases MW output without burning additional fuel, and secondly, into the fuel nozzles which greatly reduces NOx emissions and demand on the plant’s SCR system.
