SatelliteteIernetryuslngtheArgossystemwasempIoyedtostudytheIong-rangemlgratOrytraVelofeIeven POSt-neStinggreenturtlesCheloniamydasintheGulfofThailandduTingtheyearof2000-2001・Theresultsshowed thattheturtlesmlgratedmainlyintwodirections,thefirstroutestretchedeastwardalongtheeasterncoastofthe GulfofThailandtoVietnampeninsular,SOmeCrOSSedSouthChinaSeaandenteredSuluSeaofPhilipplneSWater・ ThesecondroutewentdowntothesouthacrosstheGuEfofThailandtoMalayslaPeninsular.Themlgrationdistance rangedfrom456r2,823kmwiththetravelspeedofl・13-2・77kmhr-1・ltcouldbepointedoutthatgreenturtlesin ThaiEandhavewidedistributionsharingmanyforagingsitesamongneighborcountries・Thereisthusnodoubtthat morecooperativeresearchisneeded betweencountriesforconservationofourseatultleintheregIOn・
