(Blanko) Vorbemerkung Da die Recherchearbeiten seit 2004 eine erhebliche Anzahl neuer kritischer Veröffentlichun- gen identifiziert haben, andererseits aber die Herausgabe einer Neubearbeitung der Dokumentation vorerst nicht abzusehen ist, haben wir uns entschlossen, der Öffentlichkeit das bisherige Arbeits- ergebnis unseres Projekts in einer separaten Vorabversion zugänglich zu machen. Die Gliederung des Materials entspricht der bisherigen Gliederung des Kapitels 4: (1) Sammelwerke, chronologisch (2) Autorenalphabet Die Abgrenzung zwischen den beiden Teilen ist hier und wird auch künftig etwas anders vorgenommen als bisher, indem die anonymen Einzelschriften jetzt in das Autorenalphabet als Gruppe unter „NN“ (= nomen nescitur) gestellt worden sind. Diesen Eintrag hatten wir bereits 2004 mit wenigen Beispielen eingeführt. Inzwischen hat sich die Zahl der Beispiele deutlich erhöht, besonders durch die oft nicht mit vollem Namen gezeichneten Rezensionen, die unter „NN“ überhaupt erst einen gut begründeten Ort im Alphabet gefunden haben. Mit vollem Namen gezeichnete Rezensio- nen werden unverändert unter ihrem Verfasser eingetragen. Der in den letzten Jahren durch die rasante Entwicklung des Internets entsprechend gestiege- ne Anteil von Internetveröffentlichungen wirft für eine Verzeichnung eigene Probleme auf und ver- langt eigene Lösungen. Eine Erörterung dieser Fragen und Darlegung unserer Bearbeitungsgrund- sätze bleibt einer künftigen Neuausgabe der Dokumentation vorbehalten. Auf die Einfügung von Verweisungen für weitere Beteiligte (Autoren, Mitarbeiter, Heraus- geber) ist in dieser interimistischen Ausgabe verzichtet worden. Das Titelmaterial ist aber auch in dieser Ausgabe benutzbar und durch die Suchfunktion in der PDF-Datei hinreichend erschlossen. Die Entscheidung für eine Vorabveröffentlichung ist das Ergebnis gemeinsamer Überlegun- gen mit unseren Partnern Jocelyne Lopez und Ekkehard Friebe, die großes Interesse daran gezeigt haben, das neue Material ihrem zahlreichen Publikum vorzulegen. Ihre beiden Weblogs, ihre Homepages und die von der GFWP übernommene Internetseite „Kritische Stimmen zur Relativi- tätstheorie“ stoßen im Internet auf großes Interesse. Wir hoffen, mit dem Angebot von weiteren Titelnachweisen diesem Interesse zu dienen. Sci., Univ. of New Mexico, Gallup, USA 3Independent Researcher, USA Abstract In this paper, we explore the reasons why Hilbert’s axiomatic program to unify gravitation theory and electromagnetism failed and outline a plausible resolution of this problem. The latter is based on Gödel’s incompleteness theorem and Newton’s aether stream model. Keywords: Unification, gravitation, electromagnetism, Hilbert, resolution. Introduction Hilbert and Einstein were in race at 1915 to develop a new gravitation theory based on covariance principle [1]. While Einstein seemed to win the race at the time, Hilbert produced two communications which show that he was ahead of Einstein in term of unification of gravitation theory and electromagnetic theory. Hilbert started with Mie’s electromagnetic theory. However, as Mie theory became completely failed, so was the Hilbert’s axiomatic program to unify those two theories [1]. Einstein might be learning from such an early failure of Hilbert to unify those theories, and years later returned to Mie theory [1]. What we would say here is that Hilbert’s axiomatic failure can be explained by virtue of Gödel’s incompleteness theorem: which says essentially that any attempt to build a consistent theory based on axiomatic foundations can be shown to be inconsistent.

Then, in 1941, the mathematician Luigi Fantappiè noticed that the properties of these solutions are: energy concentration, the increase in differentiation and complexity, the reduction of entropy, the increase in cohesion and unity, the formation of structures and the increase in order. Listing these properties he remarked that they coincide with the properties of life, which the classical (time forward) approach is unable to explain. In 1942 Fantappiè published a small book titled: “The Unitary Theory of the Physical and Biological World” in which he suggests that the physical/mechanical world is governed by the forward-in-time solution and by the law of entropy, whereas life is governed by the backward-in-time solution and by a law symmetric to entropy which Fantappiè named syntropy (from the Greek words syn = converging and tropos = tendency).     Volume 3 PROGRESS IN PHYSICS July, 2008 The Generalized Conversion Factor in Einstein’s Mass-Energy Equation Ajay Sharma Fundamental Physics Society, His Mercy Enclave Post Box 107 GPO Shimla 171001, India ajay.sharmaa@rediffmail.com Einstein’s September 1905 paper is origin of light energy-mass inter conversion equa- tion (L = mc2) and Einstein speculated E = mc2 from it by simply replacing L by E. From its critical analysis it follows that L = mc2 is only true under special or ideal conditions. Under general cases the result is L / mc2 (E / mc2). Conse- quently an alternate equation E = Ac2M has been suggested, which implies that energy emitted on annihilation of mass can be equal, less and more than predicted by E = mc2. The total kinetic energy of fission fragments of U235 or Pu239 is found experimentally 20–60 MeV less than Q-value predicted by mc2. The mass of parti- cle Ds (2317) discovered at SLAC, is more than current estimates. In many reactions including chemical reactions E = mc2 is not confirmed yet, but regarded as true. It implies the conversion factor than c2 is possible.
