A lovely slim design to carry with you, beautifully illustrated. The walks seem as if they would be Walking with Beatrix Potter interesting not only to Beatrix Potter fans and look well explained. May 24, Anne Lawson rated it really liked it. I always wanted to read this book. I found a perfect excuse to order it Walking with Beatrix Potter we had a trip planned to the UK Lake District. I didn't know whether we would get the chance to use the book as an actual guide, but we did. The walk directions were detailed, exact, and perfect. The added descriptions made the walk more meaningful. GPS would never have worked in this case! This was the one travel guidebook that we actually used and couldn't have done without. Unfortunately, it may have been written by google maps. Each of the 15 walks were directions and started with instructions like, "When leaving the car park, turn left and head south towards the Head Castle Inn. Make a right and walk to the second gate on your left I wou I was disappointed because I assumed Walking with Beatrix Potter was a picture book highlighting beautiful sights seen around the Lake District. I would only recommend this book to someone who was touring the Lake District.
