Hank Haney

Player Biography

Hank Haney developed his desire to teach while majoring in education at Tulsa University, graduating in 1977. In the years since, Hank has enthusiastically set out to be a great instructor of the swing. He has steadily built a reputation as an instructor, not only to the club level player, but to touring professionals as well.

His most recognizable students include and two time Major winner Mark O'Meara. Hank has taught more than 200 touring professionals from the PGA, LPGA, Nationwide, European, Japanese and Asian tours. Hank is a member of the advisory staff for Magazine, where he has been featured on the cover numerous times and has been a Top 100 Teacher from 1984 – 2004. Hank is also a bestselling author. In his book, The Big Miss, Hank gives a candid and surprisingly insightful account of his tumultuous six-year journey with Tiger Woods, during which the supremely gifted golfer collected six major championships and rewrote golf history. Hank was one of the very few people allowed behind the curtain. He was with Tiger 110 days a year, spoke to him over 200 days a year, and stayed at his home up to 30 days a year, observing him in nearly every circumstance: at tournaments, on the practice range, over meals, and relaxing with friends As host of 's hit show, The Haney Project, Hank has worked with celebrity golfers like Charles Barkley, , Ray Romano and Rush Limbaugh. When Hank is not busy with his TV show, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also gives speeches and golf clinics at corporate outings and charity events throughout the country.
