http://www.i-mad.com/ Yosuke Hayano / Principal Partner Biography MAD Architects, led by Ma Yansong, Dang Qun and Yosuke Hayano is an architecture firm committed to developing futuristic, organic, technologically advanced designs that embody a contemporary interpretation of the Eastern affinity for nature. With its core design philosophy of Shanshui City – a vision for the city of the future based in the spiritual and emotional needs of residents – MAD Architects endeavors to create a balance between humanity, the city, and the environment. Yosuke Hayano is the Principal Partner of MAD Architects and a first class registered Architect in Japan. Yosuke oversees whole design projects at MAD, leading designers and architects to translate MAD’s complex and organic forms – from concept sketch to technical drawings – into buildable shapes. Yosuke Hayano was born in Okazaki city, Aichi, Japan in 1977 and has received his Bachelor of Materials Engineering from Waseda University in Tokyo in 2000, Associate degree in Archi- tecture from Waseda Art and Architecture School in 2001. And he moved to London, UK to study at AA School (Architectural Association School of Architecture) and received Master’s degree in Architecture in 2003. After graduation from AA School, he joined Zaha Hadid Architects (London, UK) and started MAD Architects at 2004 with Ma Yansong and Dang Qun in Beijing, China. Yosuke received many international prize including the winner of the 2006 Architecture League of New York Young Architects Award, 2011 Design for Asia award, and 2011 Kumamoto Art- polis Award. Yosuke Hayano was a visiting lecturer at Waseda Art and Architecture School from 2008 till 2012 and at Tokyo University from 2010 till 2012; and, has been an External Examiner at the AA School (Architectural Association School of Architecture) since 2015.
