Reason for Acquisition FRC invests primarily in retail facilities with excellent design and entertainment qualities and Class A office buildings, focusing on Fukuoka and Kyushu region. Other than retail facilities and office buildings, FRC also works to acquire properties which, by capitalizing on its community-based strengths to establish appropriate management structures for each property and through other measures, will allow it to secure stable earnings over medium- to long-term periods. By incorporating such properties into its portfolio, FRC intends to pursue risk diversification within the region. The property to be acquired is a logistics facility located within the Green Logistics Park Tosu in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture. The Tosu area, which centers on Tosu City, is positioned as an important distribution base covering the entire Kyushu region as it features well-developed road networks including express ways and highways. Moreover, since supply of conveniently located logistics facilities is rather limited in the Tosu area, the property commands a strong competitive edge and scarcity value. -

Iki Department of Architecture and Environmental Planning, Kumamoto University, Japan Abstract A town, city or urban region has a potential which stems from its own natural form, sense of place, sense of history, spirit and ethos. Nowadays, in addition to the primary demands of life, many urban areas are facing an increasing population and a growing demand or expectation of the city for tourism activity. However, whilst increasing tourism activity is an important economic backbone for certain cities, tourism facilities are responsible for a substantial increase in environment degradation due to tourists’ rising expectation for services and facilities. The structure of this research is first to present the general overview of urban tourism in Kumamoto City through literature. This study will analyze the potentials of Kumamoto City in the creation of urban tourism, with case studies of other cities, to meet the need of integrative urban planning. The aim of this research is to review and evaluate the importance and influence of sustainability of the city through the view of making a tourism space for people. This analysis seeks to illustrate the phenomenon of urban tourism in the scale of a Japanese city. The conclusion discusses the importance of urban tourism in proposing social sustainability, and the potential for development in the current conditions. The Board of Foreign Missions presents to the General Synod its Seventy-second Annual Report, (the forty-seventh of separate and independent action), with mingled satisfaction and regret. It is happy to report, for the third time in succession, the clos ing of the fiscal year without debt. It also rejoices and congratu lates the Synod and the Church that, while the lives of all our be loved missionaries have been preserved, the Board has been able to put into the field more missionaries than in any single year for a long time past. Three ordained men and six women have been sent out from this country and two women added on the field, one in China and one in Arabia. There were thus eleven additions made to the force, all greatly needed and cordially welcomed by the Missions to whom they were added. On the other hand, the receipts for the work of these Missions, under the regular appropriations of the Board, show a decided falling off from last year, and are less than for any year since 1900. They fall $25,000 short of the $135,000 proposed by the last Synod, as the lowest estimate of what should be raised for the foreign work of the Church during the year. -
