BOSTON BRUINS DONATE 2011 STANLEY CUP RING Boston Bruins 2011 Stanley Cup Championship ring joins distinguished collection at the Hockey Hall of Fame TORONTO (November 5, 2011) – Hockey Hall of Fame Chairman and CEO Bill Hay, and Curator Phil Pritchard added a 2011 Boston Bruins Stanley Cup ring to the Stanley Cup Championship display today at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The ring, donated by the Boston Bruins organization, is featured in a display celebrating the current and past Stanley Cup champions. The ring features a diamond set image of the Boston Bruins logo and the Stanley Cup. Flush set in the top of the ring and around it are a combination of 311 round brilliant-cut, princess-cut and taper baguette-cut diamonds. One shoulder features a yellow gold “BRUINS” (bear) image with the words Hall of Fame on top and HOF underneath. The other shoulder features an image of the Stanley Cup set in diamonds and the years 2011, 1972, 1970, 1941, 1939, and 1929 all referring to the years they have won the championship. All diamonds total approximately 6.75cts, and 89.5 grams. "We are very grateful to the Boston Bruins organization, especially, Cam Neely,” said Hay. “As Chairman and CEO of the Hockey Hall of Fame it’s an honour to accept this Stanley Cup ring.
