Tiburón Golf Academy

At Tiburon Golf Academy, we believe everyone can reach their fullest potential with their golf game. In order to do so, you need coaching, a process, and training.

Coaching: In all sports, especially golf, the “quick fix” is never the solution. Instead, a long term approach is needed along with a trusting relationship with a coach. Here at Tiburon Golf Academy, we provide a team of coaches to help achieve your goals.

Process: In order to get from where you are now to where you want to be, there is a process everyone experiences. Tiburón’s certified team first identifies the particular strengths and weaknesses through a physical screening assessment. This allows our team to tailor the best process to suit each student.

Training: Upon completion of this process, your instructor will train you through all aspects of the game; short game, full swing, mental approach and on course management. These steps will enable each student to reach their full potential.

Lead instructor- Tom O’Brien, PGA

Born in Chelmsford, Massachusetts Tom graduated from Bentley University where he played collegiate golf. A former Head Golf Professional he valued the time he spent teaching the game. He turned that experience into full time. The last 16 years Tom has been providing exceptional golf instruction to our members, guests and local golf enthusiast. Utilizing the latest in game improvement technology Tom provides to his students all the necessary resources to improve their game.

PGA / LPGA Instructor- Ellen Ceresko, LPGA

Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania Ellen is a graduate of Penn State University where she was a 4year starter for the Nittany Lions women’s golf team. A two time Pennsylvania Women’s State Amateur Champion Ellen utilizes her exceptional playing past and love for instruction delivering students a centered holistic approach to the golf swing.

PGA / LPGA Instructor- Cory Schaub, PGA

Originally from Ottumwa, Iowa is a graduate of Buena Vista College. Cory is a 22 year member of the PGA of America and serves Tiburón Golf Club as our Head Golf Professional, Resort Course. Cory has an extensive background instructing golfers of all levels and believes that the fundamentals, setup, ball position, grip and posture are the key components to delivering a consistent swing path. PGA/LPGA Instructor- Tyler Clauson, PGA

Originally from Chautauqua Lake, New York Tyler is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Professional Golf Management Program. Tyler serves Tiburon Golf Club as Head Golf Professional, Member course. Tyler has been fortunate to shadow some exceptional golf instructors over the years and customizes his approach based on each individual student’s physical build and skill level.

PGA/LPGA Instructor- Josh McCormack, PGA

Originally from Punta Gorda, Florida Josh is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Professional Golf Management Program. Josh serves Tiburon Golf Club as 1st Assistant Golf Professional. Josh has been mentored by the finest instructors in Southwest Florida to include our very own Lead Instructor, Tom O’Brien. Josh offers his students a diverse set of swing objectives tailored to their own limitations and strengths.

Academy Instructor- Jimmy Carlucci, PGA

Originally from Stamford, Connecticut Jimmy learned the game from his father. Growing increasingly passionate about the game and what if offers Jimmy enrolled and then graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University’s Professional Golf Management program. Jimmy believes in basic fundamentals and its direct applications on achieving a proper swing path for the greatest results.

Golf Schools

2 - ½ day school (9:00-12:00) $810 per person (minimum 2 students) 3 - ½ day school (9:00-12:00) $1,215 per person (minimum 2 students) 2 - Full day school (9:00-4:00) lunch included and 2:00-4:00 on course. $1,750 (minimum 2 students) 3 - Full day school (9:00-4:00) lunch included and 2:00-4:00 on course. $2,625 (minimum 2 students)

After School Jr. Programs

Monday – Thursday 3:30-5:30 and Saturday 9:00-10:00 (parents can sign up for 1 month at a time) 4 – 2 hour classes and two on course matches. $270.00 per month Junior Champions for advanced juniors. Meet twice per week for 2 hours. 3:30-5:30. 4 week program is $320.00.

Corporate Instruction

The Tiburón Golf Academy offers the best instructional programs for your corporate clients and guests. We can structure our clinics to meet your needs, with prices ranging from $35 - $60 per student, depending on the size of your group. With a 6-1 student-instructor ratio, we can guarantee a personal experience that your group will remember.
