Dear Members and Friends,

Recently several members have suggested that our Shul create a Yizkor Book of Remembrance. This will offer our members the opportunity to memorialize their loved ones who have passed away by listing their names in our Yizkor Book. The book will also include the Yizkor Tefilot and El Male memorial prayers which our Shul customarily recites, and will be used in our Minyanim on Yom Kippur, Shemini Atzeret, Acharon Shel Pesach and Shavuot.

Please visit https://www.yicc.org/yizkorbook5780 and complete the online form listing all the names you wish to memorialize with a gift of $25.00 per name. Alternatively, you can complete the form below and mail it back with a check payable to Young Israel of Century City by August 19, 2019, allowing us enough time to print the books for Yom Kippur.

May the memory of your loved ones be a source of blessing for you and your family.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me: [email protected] or call the Shul office (310) 273-6954.

Thank you,

Elisa Schoenfeld, Chair, Yizkor Book of Remembrance Dr. Yosy Schames, Mark Schiff and Rita Wizenfeld, Co-Chairs, Yizkor Book of Remembrance

TREE OF LIFE YICC’s Tree of Life is located on the 2nd fl near our Youth Rooms. One way to commemorate a Simcha is to dedicate a leaf engraved with the date and Simcha on our Shul’s Tree of Life. Whether it be a Birth, Bar/Bat- Mitzvah, Wedding or Anniversary, our Shul’s Tree of Life is the perfect way to permanently celebrate your Simcha.

Many of our members have leaves on our Tree that were dedicated in their honor. It would be so nice to dedicate new leaves to honor new celebrations: marriages, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, babies…! Our latest leaf has been dedicated by Shelly Rothschild & Yosef Yekutiel In honor of their grandson, Ezra Bentzion Gindi, born in Jerusalem on May 26, 2019 to Samantha & Yacov Gindi shortly after they made Aliyah!

The cost of a Leaf is $180. For more information please contact the Shul Office at 310-273-6954 /[email protected]
