Location Moran Tehsil, Sivasagar & Dibrugarh District, Assam (Dipling Block, Sarojini Block and Sapekhati Block) Land Area For each well site during drilling will be 1.69 ha, including site facilities and for camp site it will be 2.0-2.5 ha Screening As per EIA Notification dated 14th Sept., 2006 as amended from time to time, Category this project falls under S. No. 6 (Service sectors), Project activity “1 (b)”- Offshore and onshore oil and gas exploration, development & production Project Hydrocarbon reserve (initial in place) in block - 2.5 MMT (as per our Profile initial study) Depth of well - 5000 m (Max) Duration of Drilling - About 3 months per well Quantity of drilling fluid. - 500 m³ per well Cost Of The INR 1500 Lacs per well Project Resource Requirement Source & Sl. No. Domestic water Mud Preparation (KLD) Rig Wash (KLD) Quantity Of requirement (KLD) Water 1 5 15 5 Water is basically required for preparing drilling mud, direct washing of drill cuttings, cooling of gas engines and for meeting domestic needs of the campsite. Typically, the water consumption will be about 25 kilolitres per day (KLD) as per details depicted in Figure 2.7. The camp will normally operate with around 25 personnel and will consume water @ 5 KLD for domestic purpose only. The water requirement will be met from the local sources through water tankers. Power The power requirement of drill rig will be met by Four (04) x 1430 KVA DG sets (including one as standby) with a diesel consumption of about 6 KL/day. During well testing/flaring one auxiliary 250 KVA DG Set will be in operation. Estimated consumption of HSD shall be about 6 KL/day and shall be stored in drums of 200 liters. Man Power 50-60 During Operational Phase Solid & The rock cuttings and fragments of shale, sand and silt associated with the Hazardous return drilling fluid during well drilling will be separated using shale shakers Waste and other solids removal equipment like de-sanders and de-silters. The Management recovered mud will be reused while the rejected solids will be collected and and Disposal disposed of in a line waste pit in the drill site. During drilling operations, approximately 500 tonnes and 2500-3000 m3 of drill cuttings and waste residual muds per well are expected to be generated depending on the type of formation and depth of drilling. In addition to the cuttings 15-20 KLD of wastewater is likely to be generated during well drilling. All hazardous wastes shall be securely stored, under a shed for eventual transportation to the authorized TSDF, the solid domestic waste shall be stored within the premises temporarily and then sent to common solid waste disposal facility Environmental Settings of the Area Particulars Dipling Block Sarojini Block Sapekhati Block Nearest Town/City Moran- 8 Km Rajgarh - 2.2 Km Rajgarh - 8Km towards North West towards South towards North West Nearest highway Disanpani-Rajgarh Rajgarh road which Pithaguti-Sapekhati road which connects connects to SH-27 road which connects to SH-27 to Dodhar Ali Road Nearest railhead / Bojo Railway Station- Sapekhati Railway Sapekhati Railway Railway station 6 Km (South) Station -11 (South) Station -300 m (South) Nearest airport Dibrugarh - 37 km Dibrugarh - 30 km Dibrugarh -41 km North North North Defence installations None None None Archaeological None None None important places Wild life sanctuaries None None None Rivers in 10-km Diroi River-5 km Buri Dihing River - Disang River - flowing Radius North 7.5 kmNorth within the Northern side of block Other water bodies Canals Canals Canals Hill ranges None None None Other sensitive areas None None None Seismic zone The proposed plant-site area falls in Seismic Zone V as per IS 1893:2002 (Part-1), which is a Highest active seismic zone. .
