El objetivo principal de esta comunicación es analizar las acciones que se pretenden desarrollar en Galicia a raíz del Plan de Dinamización Económica de Galicia: el “Plan Galicia”. Ya que, se trata de la supuesta inversión estatal más importante de la historia que tiene como destino este territorio. A su vez también se pretende analizar la relación que tiene este Plan con la mayor catástrofe medioambiental de Galicia, el hundimiento del petrolero Prestige. Pues muchas actuaciones que se habían establecido dentro del Plan Galicia, pasaron a exponerse como nuevas medidas para dinamizar los espacios más dañados por este lamentable acontecimiento. Para poder alcanzar estos objetivos se estudia de un modo detallado la memoria del Plan de Dinamización Económica de Galicia “Plan Galicia”, redactado por la Consellería de Economía e Facenda de la Xunta de Galicia. Así como la revisión de todas las noticias y anuncios publicados en los periódicos La Voz de Galicia, El Correo Gallego y el Faro de Vigo relacionados con esta temática. Con la finalidad de mejorar la interpretación de contenidos se realiza una clara cartografía de la distribución demográfica de Galicia a escala municipal además del área de influencia del Eje Atlántico (motor económico de Galicia). Así la temática de este artículo además de ser sumamente actual. Muestra como una vez más, Galicia se trata de un territorio a escala de España, que tanto esté gobernado por el Partido Popular como por el Partido Socialista Español, sólo recibe medias verdades y gran cantidad de buenas intenciones que no acaban de realizarse.
