YouTube dan Panggung Komunikasi Politik: Media Klarifikasi Pemberitaan Negatif Media Massa Arus Utama (YouTube and the Stage of Political Communication: Media Clarification Mainstream Mass Media Negative News) Tri Alida Apriliana [email protected] Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya Abstract The presence of the internet and new media have provided opportunities for the public to participate in political conversations or debates through new media, which is user generated content. New media of the user generated content type is the media with content created by the users of the new media themselves. Youtube is a new type of media, although the interactions offered are not as busy as other social media, but the use of Youtube is quite effective to boost the popularity of political communicators. Through Youtube, important information can be disseminated in more personal or dialogical ways in responding to various public curiosity. During the last few years in Indonesia, Youtube has also been widely used by political communicators to upload videos containing political statements or attitudes on actual issue. It is often that Youtube is also used as a medium for political communicators to clarify when they feel that they have been described negatively by the mainstream mass media. Key Words: Democracy, Political Communication, Internet, New Media, Youtube Abstrak Kehadiran internet dan media baru telah memberikan kesempatan bagi publik untuk turut berpartisipasi dalam perbicangan-perbincangan atau debat-debat politik melalui media baru berjenis user generated content. Media baru berjenis user generated content merupakan media dengan konten yang dibuat oleh pengguna media baru itu sendiri. YouTube merupakan salah satu jenis media baru, meskipun interaksi yang ditawarkan tidak seramai media sosial lainnya, tapi penggunaan YouTube cukup efektif menjadi salah satu media yang dapat mendongkrak popularitas citra diri komunikator politik. -

Advances in Social Science, Education and Humanities Research, volume 136 2nd International Conference on Social and Political Development (ICOSOP 2017) The Power of the Screen: Releasing Oneself from the Influence of Capital Owners Puji Santoso Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara University (UMSU) Email: [email protected] Abstract— Indonesia’s Media has long played a pivotal role in every changing. The world’s dependence on political, economic, and cultural changes leads the media playing an active role in the change order. It is not uncommon that the media has always been considered as an effective means to control changes or the process of social transformation. In the current era of reformation, the press, especially television industry has been experiencing rapid development. This is triggered by the opportunities opened for capital owners to invest their money into media business of television. Furthermore, the entrepreneurs or the capital owners capitalize the benefits by establishing several media subsidiaries. They try to seize the freely opened opportunity to create journalistic works. The law stipulates that press freedom is a form of popular sovereignty based on the principles of democracy, justice, and legal sovereignty. The mandate of this law indicates that press freedom should reflect people’s sovereignty. The sovereign people are the people in power and have the power to potentially develop their life-force as much as possible. At present, Indonesia has over 15 national television stations, 12 of which are networked televisions, and no less than 250 local television stations. This number is projected to be increasing based on data on the number of lined up permit applicants registered at the Ministry of Communications and Information office (Kemenkominfo) or at the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) office both at the central and regional levels. -

Arifianto* EXECUTIVE SUMMARY • The recently concluded 2014 legislative elections in Indonesia produced several unexpected results, as the heavily favored PDIP party failed to reach its electoral targets, despite the popularity of its presidential candi- date, Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi). • PDIP’s failure to win more popular votes during these elections can be attributed to the lack of campaign advertisements promoting Jokowi as its presidential candidate, local-level campaign dynamics, possible vote- buying, and the internal rivalry between supporters of Jokowi and support- ers of party-chairwoman Megawati Sukarnoputri. • The success of the Islamic parties in increasing their vote share dur- ing these elections is not the result of their increased popularity among Indonesian voters. Instead, it is the result of their strategy to recoup the votes they had lost during the 2009 elections. * Alexander R. The first one was the underperforming results of the opposition party the Indonesian Democratic Party Struggle (Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, PDIP), which failed to capitalise on the popularity of its presidential candidate Joko Widodo (popularly known as Jokowi). The party is estimated to have won only 19 percent of the popular vote, far below the expected 25 to 30 percent that had been predicted by a number of Indonesian public opinion surveys. -

ABSTRACT On September 23, 1997, at the request of the House Committee on Ways and Means (Committee),1 the United States International Trade Commission (Commission) instituted investigation No. 332-384, The Changing Structure of the Global Large Civil Aircraft Industry and Market: Implications for the Competitiveness of the U.S. Industry, under section 332(g) of the Tariff Act of 1930, for the purpose of exploring recent developments in the global large civil aircraft (LCA) industry and market. As requested by the Committee, the Commission’s report on the investigation is similar in scope to the report submitted to the Senate Committee on Finance by the Commission in August 1993, initiated under section 332(g) of the Tariff Act of 1930 (USITC inv. No. 332-332, Global Competitiveness of U.S. Advanced-Technology Manufacturing Industries: Large Civil Aircraft, Publication 2667) and includes the following information: C A description of changes in the structure of the global LCA industry, including the Boeing-McDonnell Douglas merger, the restructuring of Airbus Industrie, the emergence of Russian producers, and the possibility of Asian parts suppliers forming consortia to manufacture complete airframes; C A description of developments in the global market for aircraft, including the emergence of regional jet aircraft and proposed jumbo jets, and issues involving Open Skies and free flight; C A description of the implementation and status of the 1992 U.S.-EU Large Civil Aircraft Agreement; C A description of other significant developments that affect the competitiveness of the U.S. LCA industry; and C An analysis of the aforementioned structural changes in the LCA industry and market to assess the impact of these changes on the competitiveness of the U.S. -

Rilis PUPR #1 3 Februari 2018 SP.BIRKOM/II/2018/054 Lapangan Tenis Menjadi Venue Ketujuh yang Diresmikan Presiden Jokowi Jakarta—Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) meresmikan selesainya renovasi lapangan tenis terbuka dan tertutup di Komplek Olahraga Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Senayan, Jakarta yang dikerjakan oleh Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR), Sabtu (03/02/2018). Lapangan tenis menjadi venue ketujuh di Komplek GBK yang diresmikan Kepala Negara. “Setiap hari kesiapan Indonesia dalam menyongsong Asian Games XVIII kelihatan sekali semakin siap, karena venue yang akan digunakan satu per satu diselesaikan,” kata Presiden Joko Widodo dalam sambutannya yang ditutup dengan yel-yel “Ayo Pelti”. Peresmian dilakukan dengan penandatanganan prasasti dan dilanjutkan dengan penyerahan raket dari Petenis Yayuk Basuki dan Yustejo Tarik kepada Presiden Jokowi. Usai peresmian dilakukan test event pertandingan Piala Davis antara Indonesia vs Filipina. Menteri PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono selaku Ketua Bidang Sarana, Prasarana dan Infrastruktur pendukung Asian Games XVIII 2018 dalam laporannya mengatakan lapangan tenis merupakan satu dari enam bangunan cagar budaya di GBK yang renovasinya dilaksanakan dengan memperhatikan aspek cagar budaya. “Karna cagar budaya, kami masih mempertahankan beberapa kursi lama. Banyak perbaikan yang dilakukan diantaranya pencahayaan, tata suara, pendingin udara dan kamera pengawas (CCTV),” ujar Menteri Basuki. Lapangan tenis tertutup memiliki kapasitas 3.954 kursi yang juga dilengkapi dengan hard court softbase, lighting LED 1500 lux, scoring board dan sistem AC chiller watercool,. Sedangkan lapangan tenis terbuka memiliki kapasitas 3.832 kursi dilengkapi sound system mumpuni dan CCTV Renovasi dilakukan sejak bulan Agustus 2016 hingga m Desember 2017 dengan besaran anggaran Rp 92,8 Miliar yang dilaksanakan oleh Penyedia Jasa Konstruksi PT Brantas Abipraya.
