The Channel 4 Comedy Gala Live At The O2 in aid of Great Ormond St Hospital returns for second year to the world famous O2 Arena. The amazing all star line up confirmed for the biggest annual comedy event of the year so far includes:

Alan Carr, , Dara O Briain, , , Jason Byrne, , Jo Brand, , , , , , , Michael McIntyre, Micky Flanagan, , , , , & Shappi Khorsandi ... with many more to be confirmed.

Tickets go on from 9am Friday 11 th March priced £60 (please see listings and booking details below). Money raised will pay for a new 24 hour operating theatre at Great Ormond Street Hospital so that the surgeons can help more children with heart, brain and spine surgery. The 2011 event was launched on Wednesday 9 th March at Great Ormond Street Hospital by comedy superstars Michael McIntyre and John Bishop .

The Channel 4 Comedy Gala Live At The O2 will be recorded for a two hour Channel 4 TV special due to air early June with a subsequent DVD release planned for later in the year.

On 30 th March 2010 over 35 of the nation’s favourite and TV presenters showed support by taking to the stage to perform at the first Comedy Gala at the O2. The comedy extravaganza, watched by 15,000 comedy fans at the O2 and over 3 million viewers on Channel 4, featured a world class collection of stars all giving up their time to support Great Ormond Street Hospital with a staggering £869, 492.81 raised to help towards funds for two new anaesthetic rooms.

Dr Jane Collins, chief executive at Great Ormond Street Hospital, said: "Great Ormond Street Hospital treats children from all over the UK, many of whom have life-threatening or complex conditions.

"The hospital needs more operating theatre space and that's why buying a ticket to the Channel 4 Comedy Gala is really important. With your help we can raise enough money for a new operating theatre to help more children who need heart or brain and spine surgery."

Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Live At The O2, 2010

A world class collection of stars supported GOSH at the 2010 Gala event at the 02 on March 30th with live performances from the following: Alan Carr, Andy Parsons, with , as ‘Nan’, Christine Bleakley, David Mitchell, Gok Wan, Jack Whitehall, Jack Dee, , Jason Manford, Jo Brand, John Bishop, Jonathan Ross, & Alex Reid, Kevin Bridges, Lee Evans, Mark Watson, Michael McIntyre, , Noel Fielding, Rich Hall, , Ruth Jones, Sean Lock, Shappi Khorsandi, The Fonejacker and STOMP.

Other highlights from the night included a major dance routine from Alan Carr with the cast of STOMP plus some very special bespoke VT messages from Johnny Depp , Sharon Osbourne and Kyle MacLachlan , and comedy sketches from Kevin Bishop , , Peep Show (David Mitchell and Robert Webb) and Ricky Gervais with Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington.
