TRAIN

From Fiumicino Airport (also called “Leonardo da Vinci”) you can reach the centre of Rome quickly by train with . From the railway station, located in the airport, near the Arrivals and Departures terminals, you can reach the city centre with frequent connections: • , a non-stop service exclusively for airport passengers to/from Rome railway station, leaving every 30 minutes (every 15 minutes at peak times) with a journey time of 32 minutes (costs about € 14,00), or • Regional FL1 trains to/from other stations in Rome, including Rome , with departures every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays. TAXI

At the Terminal 1, 2 and 3 exits of Rome Fiumicino Airport, a taxi service for the city of Rome is available. The fare to downtown Rome (within “Aurelian Walls” – NOTE: Bank of and Hotel Kolbe are within the “Walls”) is around 50 euro (including baggage, for a maximum of four passengers). For other destinations the cost will be displayed on the taximeter in the taxi, to which the charge for baggage will be added. It is advised to check the city/town the taxi is from (either Rome or Fiumicino) before boarding, given that the tariffs applied by taxis from Fiumicino are more expensive. PLEASE NOTE: Taxis authorized by the Municipality of Rome and the Municipality of Fiumicino are white with a “TAXI” sign on the roof and a licence number on the doors, on the back and inside the vehicle. Any other vehicle at the airport exit could be driven by persons not in possession of a valid taxi or car hire permit and the tariff requested may be higher from that foreseen by the Municipality of Rome. It is therefore advised to be suspicious of people, inside the airport, who propose transport services towards the city.

The Fiumicino Airport is connected to Rome with a number of buses. Connection with domestic and international arrivals is assured by:

The fare from Rome Ciampino airport (also called “Giovan Battista Pastine”) to downtown Rome (within “Aurelian Walls”) is around 30 euro (including baggage, for a maximum of four passengers). For other destinations the cost will be displayed on the taximeter in the taxi, to which the charge for baggage will be added. TRAIN

The nearest rail station to Rome Ciampino airport is “Ciampino Città”, which is connected to the airport by the buses COTRAL/SCHIAFFINI every 30 minutes. The travelling time is about 5 minutes. Tickets, sold in the bus and on the ground, cost 1 euro. A light metro connects Ciampino railway station to Termini railway station. The average journey time is about 15 minutes.
