Aarhus is a cycling friendly city with special paths for cycling. When cycling, you need to take into account several basic rules. • Drive on the right hand side. • Wear a helmet. Even though it is not mandatory, your life in case of accident may depend on you wearing it. Make sure it meets all the safety requirements. • Use the cycling paths when available. You may not cycle on sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, or pedestrian areas. If there is no specific cycle path, you need to use the right side of the road. • Use hand signals when turning left, right, or stopping. For more information on the rules of how to ride a bike, check this link. Where to buy/get a bicycle in Aarhus There are bicycle shops all around town. Some of the best known are Fri BikeShop on Frederick Allé, Jensen on Vestre Ringgade or Rask Cykler on Nørre Allé. You can also find second hand bikes in all those shops. If you want to buy a second hand bike you it is a good idea to check the DBA (Danish Ebay) online portal at https://www.dba.dk or the local Facebook marketplace. BUS City buses and regional buses Aarhus has an extensive bus network, which covers
