MK-101 TYPE BLADE ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE The Movable Cutting Table of the MK-101 may become misaligned with the Cutting Head of the Tile Saw over time. Should misalignment occur, perform the following steps to realign the Tile Saw. NOTE: If alignment problems are the result of a warped blade, a bent frame or bent support arm, or, if alignment is off by more than 1/8-inch, contact the MK Diamond Service Center – (800) 474-5594 Tools Needed: Combination Square (Square) 1/2-inch Wrench or 12-inch or Greater MK Triple Hole Box Wrench and MK Open End Wrench Preparation: Disconnect Saw Inspect Frame Inspect Cutting Head Remove Pan Inspect Cutting Table (A) (B) (C) Remove Tile Saw Remove Water Pan Inspect Tile Saw from Power Source for damage Inspect Blade Turn Counter- clockwise to Loosen (D) (E) Inspect Diamond Blade Loosen front and rear for damage Guide Bar Retaining Bolts MK-101 Type Blade Alignment Revision 12/00, Effective Date: December 04, 2000 Page-1 MK-101 TYPE BLADE ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE Horizontal Rough Alignment: The Horizontal alignment will ensure that straight cuts (or Rip Cuts) are made. NOTES: If the blade is misaligned following 90º-alignment verification, return the saw to MK Diamond for repair. The Diamond Blade must be removed and reinstalled when removing the Blade Guard. Blade Guard Rotate Counter- Diamond Blade Square No Gaps between clockwise to Loosen Blade and Square Blade Guard Retaining Nut Movable Cutting Table (A) (B) (C) Remove Blade Guard Position Square on Movable Verify the Diamond Cutting Table against Blade is Square to the the Diamond Blade Movable Cutting Table 1/2-inch Rotate Counter- 1/2-inch Rotate Clockwise Wrench clockwise to Loosen Wrench to Tighten Wheel Assembly Direction of Wheel Wheel Assembly Retaining Bolts Movement Assembly Retaining Bolts (D) (E) (F) If not Square, loosen Movable Move Wheel Assembly After Squaring, Tighten Movable Cutting Table Wheel Assembly up or down to Square the Cutting Table Wheel Assembly to adjust Movable Cutting Table No Gaps between Blade and Square (G) Re-verify the Diamond Blade is Square to the Movable Cutting Table MK-101 Type Blade Alignment Revision 12/00, Effective Date: December 04, 2000 Page-3.
