This is Trumbulls 2nd consecutive win after having also won last year. Trumbull Mock Trial now has won 4 championships (also won in 2013 and 2014) in the last 6 years, giving them the most wins of the mock trial state championships of any school in the 46 year history of the competition. In addition to winning the state championship, Trumbull’s own Daniella Chuka (junior) was selected as the Most Outstanding Mocker of the Competition, which is an extraordinary accomplishment for a high school student. Trumbull now moves on to represent the state of Connecticut at the National High School Mock Trial Competition in Reno, Nevada May 8th through May 13th. Administrative Recommendation: Recognize and commend. TRUMBULL PUBLIC SCHOOLS TRUMBULL, CONNECTICUT Report to the Board of Education Regular Meeting — March 27, 2018 Agenda Item IT-C Recognition — Connecticut PTA Elementary Principal of the Year — Mr. Gary Kunschafl After Daniels Farm School succeeded again in becoming a Connecticut School of Distinction, the PTA Board members thought a nomination for our principal might be an excellent follow-up! The DFS staff was emailed with a request for letters of support, which were subsequently gathered together and forwarded. The criteria for the supporting documents was very specific; all letters needed to incorporate: Leadership for Learning - creativity in successfully meeting the needs of students in his or her school system; Communication- strength in both personal and professional communication; Community Involvement- active participation in local community activities and an understanding of regional and national issues, and Professionalism - constant improvement of administrative knowledge and skills while providing professional development opportunities and motivation to others on the education team. Congratulations Mr. Kunschaft! Only one principal was chosen for the Connecticut PTA Elementary School Principal Award! Administrative Recommendation: Recognize and commend. 3/22/2018 CT PTA I Outstanding Adm Dinner oi EVENTS ~O~iT CT PTA AG%~aCV NENSETTIPCARDS HUSSIES etS~lfiCf5 SflC1AL SIEFOS PTAOAC.ib Gay -Feiia NESS WGtiNESS PTA 2018 Join us for a night of Celebration!
