This group is aimed at carers of people with mental health problems. It meets at the Carers Groups Sheffield Carers Centre on Thursdays. Around 15% of all children have some kind of additional need. This may be a visible impairment, such as Down’s Syndrome or cerebral palsy, or a “hidden” condition like autism, ADHD, dyslexia or mental health needs. Some children have developmental delays or behavioural problems, but no formal diagnosis.

Sheffield Parent Carer Forum is an independent local charity run by and for parents of children and young people (aged 0-25 years) with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. We have over 1,800 members from across Sheffield.
