EXP 2019 35th Annual Futures & OpǗons Expo OCTOBER 29-31, 2019 | HIL TON CHICAGO Explore What’s Possible. EXPO GUIDE OCTOBER 29-31 • HILTON CHICAGO #FIAEXPO | 1 EXPO2019ProGuide_FINAL2.indd 1 10/21/19 4:37 PM Welcome to FIA’s 35th Annual Expo! FIA Expo continues to grow and develop with more informative programming, thought leadership, exciting exhibitors and networking opportunities. At Expo 2019, we’re focusing on the opportunities and challenges facing the industry and what it holds for the future while navigating the various political storms around the world. Our program this year will feature discussions on the topics that matter most to your businesses, including the impact of Brexit, the need for diversity in derivatives, technological changes and new benchmarks. And, as always, you’ll hear about industry trends from exchange leaders and clearinghouse executives. For the fifth year in a row, we’re hosting the Innovators Pavilion in the Green Hall, a showcase for 20 fintech startups providing exciting new and potentially disruptive products and services for the cleared derivatives industry. I encourage you to attend our Meet the Innovators panel on Wednesday to hear from some of these companies directly and attend the Innovator of Year Award Ceremony on Thursday morning. Other forward-looking sessions will address the future of FX, the next phase for crypto assets, the products of tomorrow, and the evolution of futures for the next generation of investors. In this year’s program, we are joined by an incredible group of speakers, including CFTC Chairman & CEO Heath Tarbert, presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize winner Doris Kearns Goodwin, and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker. We also invite you to visit the Expo Learning Lab in the Blue Hall that will feature an FIA Speaks podcast recording, Tech Talks, FIA Training session on Spoofing and a special session on performance management. In addition, our dynamic trade show features more than 100 exhibitors showcasing products, services and solutions for the industry. Our commitment to charity and giving back continues with the Great Chicago Steak Out benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Since 2008, we’ve raised $4.1 million to help feed those in need, so please join us in supporting the Food Depository’s valuable mission. I hope you find Expo to be insightful, engaging and educational, and I look forward to our discussions.
