Growing up in the bay area, it wasn’t unusual for Michael Koff to poke around film sets from a young age trying to get a glimpse of a set. It wasn’t until studying abroad in his junior year of college that he got his first taste, with MTV Europe, running cable for their sound guy on a live weekly show. When returning stateside, Koff hit the ground running and moved to Los Angeles to chase the dream. Almost twenty years later, Koffy (as he is most commonly known) has amassed an impressive resume and continues to seek out challenging projects that push the creative boundaries of sound. Koffy has been fortunate to travel to over fifty countries as Sound Mixer and thrives on difficult location recording. Koff has garnered the reputation for being meticulous and creative with his work, and somehow always keeping it fun along the way. Koffy and his crew are Atlanta based and always happy to travel.
