Spring 2018 Fraternity/Sorority Report Educational Programming . Order of Omega, with Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council, planned and hosted the Spring 2018 Greek New Member Orientation. Recruitment & Membership . 35 New Members (22 fraternity & 9 sorority) . 10 Fraternity/Sorority students were inducted into Order of Omega. Involvement Winter Carnival 2018 highlights include: . The following Sorority Women were Winter Carnival Queen Candidates: o Cora Taylor, Delta Phi Epsilon – Winter Carnival Queen and Audience Choice o Taylor DeWitt, Alpha Gamma Delta o Greta Colford, Alpha Gamma Delta . Tau Kappa Epsilon won 1st place in the month-long statue competition, followed by Phi Kappa Tau, then Delta Sigma Phi. Phi Kappa Tau won 1st place in the Men’s Division and Winter Carnival Overall Competition. Delta Phi Epsilon won 1st place in the Women’s Division, followed by Alpha Gamma Delta, then Delta Zeta. Sigma Tau Gamma/Theta Chi Epsilon won 1st place in the Co-Ed Division. Alpha Gamma Delta won 2nd place in the Women’s Division for Special Events. Service . 72 Fraternity/Sorority volunteers hosted the Fraternity and Sorority Life Blood Drive with 476 pints donated. Awards & Recognition 2018 Fraternity and Sorority Life Awards Highlights include: . Outstanding Sorority of the Year – Alpha Gamma Delta . Outstanding Fraternity of the Year – Sigma Tau Gamma . Fraternity Man of the Year – Ian Jones . Sorority Woman of the Year – Carley Davis Organization Updates: . The following organization was found responsible for violating University policy during Fall 2017: o Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity o Kappa Delta Psi Fraternity o Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity . Theta Tau was found responsible for violating University policy during Fall 2013 and Fall 2017 and has been expelled. As of May 2018, NO fraternities or sororities are on academic warning or academic probation with Student Activities. All have achieved a chapter cumulative average of 2.50 or above.
