Todd Cooley is in his first season as head coach of the Delta State University Statesman football As a player, Cooley set 13 school records at quarterback for Arkansas Tech in 1996-97 and was program. Travis E. Parker Field at Horace McCool Stadium is in its fourth decade as the home of the Statesmen Football. In 32 seasons Delta State is an overall 106-66-7 at the facility.

Formerly known as Delta Field and Travis E. Parker Field, the 8,500 seat stadium was completed in time for the 1970 season. In 1984, the field was renamed to honor former Mississippi JONATHON FLETCHER LANIER GOETHIE Institutions of Higher Learning Board of Trustees member, Travis E.
