The fi rst half will feature a section entitled Kings of Cool, in which the band will present music from the era of the ‘Rat Pack’, such as The Lady is a Tramp and Luck Be A Lady, while fl ugel horn player, Alex Kerwin, will demonstrate her very best Dean Martin style in That’s Amore! Brass band purists will be catered for with the overture, Poet and Peasant, and Gilbert Vinter’s groundbreaking Spectrum, being performed in the composer’s centenary year. Other soloists such as Richard Marshall (Willow Echoes), Brett Baker (Fantastic Polka), Sandy Smith (Autumn Leaves) and David Thornton (Neath’ the Dublin Skies) will display their considerable talents, while the composing talents of ‘Dyke’ associates, Paul Lovatt-Cooper and Peter Graham, will be showcased in Horizons and Cats Tales respectively.
