Alessandro is a pass first point guard. He always try to find his teammates in good position to shoot. He is very good drive&dish player. He needs to work on his shooting selection. His shooting mechanics are not the best and he always tries to shoot when he didn’t believe there isn’t better chances. He is solid defender and his able to play against all kind of guard at this stage, but he would probably need to get stronger in the next level.

Marc García

Data: Statistics Name: Marc García 21.4 min, 5.4pt, (22% FG, Position: PG/SG 18% 3pt, 75% FT), 3.6 reb, Height: 6-1 1.7 as, 1.1 st, 1.4 to Team: Class: 2001

Marc is a combo with some clutch in his hands. He isn’t a consistent scorer and he didn’t get good stats in shooting in the last tournaments. García is a very confident handler and he use to be aggressive when he wants to go to the rim. Marc has promising pick&roll game, but also have a high turnover prone that needs to develop. He is very aggressive defending his pair and has very good instincts defending passing lines.

Javi García

Data: Statistics

Name: Javier García 25.8 min, 8.8 pt, (30% FG; Position: PG 21% 3pt, 50% FT), 4.3 reb, Height: 6-1 3.5 as, 1.1 st, 3.5 to Team: Basket Zaragoza Class: 2001

Javi García is fearless guard who likes to push the pace and shoot from three every time he could. He is effective from long distance and he also have touch to score floaters. Maybe he is the more athletic guard of the Spanish national team. He is undersized and his skillset as ball-handler and passing are below average for a point guard and that makes him struggle when he drives to the basket. He will need to improve that in order to make it at the highest level.

Jorge Mejías

Data: Statistics

Name: Jorge Mejías 15 min, 4.3p, (40% FG, Position: PG 50% 3pt, 66% FT), 2.6 reb, Height: 6-0 4 as, 1st, 1.1 to Team: Texas A&M Inter. Univ. Dustdevils Class: 2001

Mejías played last season with Spanish powerhouse, Real . He was part of a really depth and stack class of players who already won U’18 and ANGT this season. He has a very developed 3point shot and last season was around 40%-50% in main competitions. Mejías knows how to play pick&roll and he is over average passer. He worked a lot on his body this year, but he is an average player and he is also an undersized player. He plays hard on defense, but he struggles defending athletic opponents.

WINGS

Jorge Viejo

Data: Statistics Name: Jorge Viejo 14.33p, (32% FG 25% 3pt Position: SG/SF 75% TL), 6r 1.3a, 1st, Height: 6-5 1,66to Team: C.B. Fuenlabrada Class: 2001

Jorge is shooting guard with some playmaking skills and ability to score. In offense, he tends to drive to de basket and he can finish with both hands. He isn’t very explosive, but his ball-handling skills are developed enough to finish near the rim. At shooting, Jorge can score off screen and catch & shoot, but he has problems to shot off the dribble. His athleticism is below average and he has problems in defense due to lack of lateral movement.

Oier Ardanza

Data: Statistics Name: Oier Ardanza 23. 5min 10.7 pt (36% FG, Position: SG/SF 26% 3pt) 4.2r, 1.3st, 1.2 to Height: 6-5 Team: C.B. Gran Canaria Class: 2001

Ardanza had one of the greatest comebacks in Spanish youth this year. He was playing for Barcelona last year, but he got injured and he almost did not play during 2017-18 season. Barcelona release him and find a great spot in Gran Canaria playing next to Jovan Kljajic. Ardanza is a two way guard. In offense, he tends to finish near the rim or playing midrange shot. On defensive end, he always plays hard and has instincts to get the rebound. He will need to improve his body and 3 point shot to make the transition in a higher level.

Pau Carreño

Data: Statistics Name: Pau Carreño 24 min, 11.7 pt, (51% FG, Position: SG/SF 39% 3pt, 75% TL), 3.6 reb, Height: 6-4 1.6 st, 1.4 to Team: F.C. Barcelona Class: 2001

Pau is an all-around player who can play at three positions in the backcourt. He is a bit undersized for shooting guard position at the highest level, but he is athletic at this stage. He has a role player potencial but he will be important in the tournament. He tends to play off the ball and has good shot selection. On defense he play shard and he’s a good rebounder for his size. It will be important to become a better shooter from the deep and developing skills to generate offense by himself.

Miguel Serrano

Data: Statistics Name: Miguel Serrano 22.5 min 9.5 pt (43% FG, Position: SF/PF 29% 3pt), 2.8 reb, 1.2 as, Height: 6-7 1.5 st, 1.33 to Team: C.B. Gran Canaria Class: 2001

He is the late boomer of his class. He played along some of the top prospects in Europe and he hadn’t the opportunity to shine until his last season as youth player. Miguel Serrano is a modern wing that could alternate SF and PF position. He is an athletic player considering European standards. His leaping ability let him to play over the rim. He is limited to a finishing role and he hasn’t shown the ability to generate offense by himself. He is a below average shooter at this moment, but he has shown some flashes at the 3pt line that are very promising.

BIGS

Santi Aldama

Data: Statistics Name: Santi Aldama 35 min, 24.5 pt (48% FG, Position: PF/C 25% 3pt, 71% FT), 11.75 Height: 6-10 reb 2.5 as, 1.5 st, 1bs Team: Loyola Maryland Greyhounds Class: 2001

He is one of the rarest prospects coming from Spain in the last 20 years. Aldama is an 6-11 forward with ball-handling/shooting skills. He grew out of radar because he played for an academy out of Spanish professional system. He played along Oumar Ballo (Gonzaga recruit) a couple of years. He isn’t the most athletic/strong prospect and he is a bit slow, but his movement are fluid. He was playing at SF since last season, but he decided to build up his body to be ready to play at college (Loyola-Marymount signing). He added to his game some skillset at the key and he is stronger to score in traffic. He can shoot from the deep (catch&shoot, off drible), but he needs to be more consistent.

Usman Garuba

Data: Statistics Name: Usman Garuba 19 min, 13.1pt (55% FG, Position: PF/C 20% 3pt, 50% FT), 11 reb, Height: 6-8 2 as, 1.2 bs, 1.7 to Team: Real Madrid Class: 2002

He probably is the best European player in 2002 class. He must be a lottery pick in 2021. Garuba is an all-around center. He can every position at this level. His defensive awareness and physical tools let him be one of the best players on the switch. In offense he has a solid footwork in low post, he knows how to use his body and he has a nice touch. His basketball IQ is outstanding at this level, he has a great vision and he is a very good passer. He also likes to grab the rebound and run lead the fast break. He needs to improve his ball handling and his 3 point shot.

Golden Dike

Data: Statistics Name: Golden Dike 16.7 min, 8.7 pt (63% FG, Position: C 66% FT), 6 reb, 1.1 as, Height: 6-8 0.8st, 0.8 bs, 0.8 to Team: Loyola Maryland Greyhounds Class: 2001

Dike is an undersized center with a strong upper body and wide skillset at the key. He also played in Real Madrid along Garuba. He has very since touch around the rim. He can finish with both hands and he try to get to the rim as always it is possible. On defense he can hold charges, but he has switch ability problems because his footwork is a bit slow and not fluid enough to play like that. His lack of explosiveness doesn’t let him be a good shot blocker.

Jaime Pradilla

Data: Statistics Name: Jaime Pradilla 24 min, 25 pt (55% FG, Position: PF/C 12% 3pt, 56% FT), 11.8 reb, Height: 6-9 0.7 as, 2.3 bs, 3to Team: Basket Zaragoza Class: 2001

He is an old school center who is trying to adapt at modern era and play outside the paint. He is one of the most productive players at youth level in Spain. He got a wide skillset and foot work when he has to find the ring. He finish with both hands and he also have a very good touch. He is producing some points in the midrange due to his improved shot and also because he start to put the ball on the floor more often. On defense, he is having several problems to defend wings or post players bigger than him.

Ismael Tamba

Data: Statistics Name: Ismael Tamba 21 min, 13.2 pt (74% FG Position: C 87% FT), 7 reb, 1as, 2bs, Height: 6-6 2.4 to Team: Unicaja Málaga Class: 2001

Tamba is a strong undersized center. He is very effective in the paint and also try to play over the rim. He has a great footwork in offense and defense. On the one hand, he is very good roller, really quick and knows how to use his body and finish in traffic. On the other hand, he is quick enough to defend some backcourt players. His offensive game is limited to the paint, he needs to expand his range and try to put the ball on the floor more frequently to be a more consistent player.
