Meeting ID: 989 1484 3047 Password: 531680 The members of the SIMPCO MPO Policy Board are holding this session by electronic means pursuant to the provisions of the Iowa Open Meetings Law, Section 21.8, Code of Iowa. The meeting is being held by conference/video call originating from the SIMPCO Office at 1122 Pierce Street, Sioux City, IA. It is open to the public in person AND through video/conference call. Those in person or on the call can hear the proceedings. Public notice of the meeting has been issued in accordance with Iowa Code Section 21.4. AGENDA I. Roll Call/Pledge of Allegiance/Introductions – (Information Item) II. Approval of the Agenda – (Action Item) III. Approval of the Minutes – July 1, 2021, regular meeting of the Policy Board (Action Item) IV. Review Monthly Correspondence – Staff will present pertinent correspondence since the July 1, 2021, Policy Board meeting. (Information Item) V. Transportation Improvement Progress Report – Iowa Department of Transportation; City of Sioux City, Iowa; Sioux City Transit System; Sioux Gateway Airport; City of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; Woodbury County, Iowa; Plymouth County, Iowa; Nebraska Department of Transportation; City of South Sioux City, Nebraska; City of Dakota City, Nebraska; Dakota County, Nebraska; South Dakota Department of Transportation; City of North Sioux City, South Dakota; Dakota Dunes CID, South Dakota; Union County, South Dakota; will update the Policy Board on the progress of transportation improvements. (Information Item) VI. FY 2022 - 2022 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Amendment – Staff will present the following amendment to the FY 2022–2025 TIP. (Action Item) 1. Sioux City Transit System four (4) Light Duty Buses (176” wb) unit numbers #1349, 1356, 1357, 1358 needs to be programmed for a total cost per bus of $102,000 with $86,700 per bus Federal participation (Sec. 5229) in FY 22. VII. MPO Letter of Support for South Dakota and Nebraska trail grant applications – Request from North Sioux City, Dakota Dunes, and South Sioux City to support trail grant applications to the South Dakota DOT and Nebraska Games and Parks. (Action Item) VIII. 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) Proposed Amendments – Staff will present the following proposed amendments to the 2045 LRTP. (Information Item) 1. Sioux Point Road Pedestrian/Bicycle Trail in Dakota Dunes, SD needs to be programmed for a total estimated cost of $379,900 with $297,900 in Federal participation (TAP) in the FY 21 – 24 time-band. 2. Sioux Point Road Share Use Path in North Sioux City, SD needs to be programmed for a total estimated cost of $941,900 with $400,000 in Federal participation (TAP) in the FY 21-24 time-band. 3. Veterans Trail/MidAmerican Trail/25th Street Trail in South Sioux City needs to be programmed for a total estimated cost of $1,065,000 with $852,000 Federal participation (RTP) in the FY 21-24 time-band. IX. South Dakota DOT 2020 Decennial Interstate Corridor Study – presentation by Steve Gramm, SD DOT (Information Item) X.
