1. Silk Wedding Gown - Made for and worn by Mary Boyce in the 1850's, then by her grandaughter, Freda R. Pardue, in 1908. Freda Pardue was the grandmother of Linda J. Emerson and Susan J. Shheedy of Chelmsford. The silk skirt is of black & shades of brown plaid with a tinge of orange. The pleated skirt is fastened in back with hooks and eyes. The blouse is of ecrue lace, with panels of open filet work. The long net sleeves have tiers of lace from top to bottom. There is a cummerbund of the plaid material. 95.2

2. A cast iron horse-drawn fire engine - 3 horses, two black and one white, each attached to one wheel, pulling a ladder wagon with four ladders - wagon has spoke wheels, is painted red, measures overall 19 3/4". Horses have 5i" spread. Wagon is cracked and been repaired. Two of the cast iron men are missing.

3. A sheet metal toy friction drive car painted red and gold - 4 seated - 11" long and 5" wide. Front wheels pivot. It is in running order. Steering wheel & driver are separate attachments.

4. Cast iron water turbine wheel 12" diameter, 8" high, shaft 2". It was manufactured in North Chelmsford by the Wicasauke Works which was located on Dunstable Rd. Invented by Matthew Swain, it was known at a Swain Wheel. For many years this wheel was at the Lowell Textile School in the Engineering Dept. It originally had a casing which has been thrown away.

5. The Stone Arithmetic by John C. Stone printed by Benjamin H. Sanborn & Co. used in the Chelmsford Public School System in 1930 for the fifth and six grade students.

6. A wooden pen holder to be used with attachable pen point in school desks containing ink wells.
