Background Although there is research activity in the field of public health and palliative care, access to this research output is limited due to lack of publication or restricted by the high cost of journals. In 2012, Milford Care Centre partnered with the Institute of Public Health in Ireland on the Necobelac project. NECOBELAC is a Network of Collaboration Between Europe and Latin American Caribbean countries. Aim: The aim is to promote scientific writing and greater dissemination of research output utilizing open access (OA) models in the area of public health. It enables anyone to search the contents of the archives listed and access research Full texts are available for most results. LENUS is The Irish health repository dedicated to making Irish health research from the HSE widely and freely available for the benefit of all. Conclusion RESULTS Searched Two Repositories with Submitting research to Open the following Keywords: Lenus retrieved 4,880 hits Access publications or to the institutional repositories (e.g. death OR dying OR bereaved OR bereavement OpenDoar retrieved LENUS), increases access to full- OR palliative OR hospice OR grief OR grieving 4,640,000 hits text academic research on death, dying, loss and care.
