Q1. Do you accept students of any nationalities? If not, who are not eligible?

A1. Yes, we accept students from all nationals.

Q2. Will exchange students be allowed and able to take courses offered by other schools at the University?

A2. Usually the course registration that is provided would be under our faculty courses only.

Q3. Are there any academic requirements for MA exchange students while at the University? (e.g. Exchange students are required to take X number of courses and can take up to X number of courses.)

A3. Yes, it is depend upon that particular course requirement.

Q4. Are there any academic requirements for Ph.D. exchange students while at the University?

A4. N/A

Q5. Are there any additional application documents to be submitted if the applicant is Ph.D. student?

A5. N/A

Q6. Will exchange students be able to take local language classes free of charge at the University?

A6. Sorry, no.

Q7. Tell us the required language proficiency. Do you accept a TOEIC score as a certificate of English language proficiency?

A7. No, exchange students are required to have English language certificate: IELTS 6.0; TOEFL minimum paper-based score of 550, Internet-based score of 79 or computer- based score of 213; CU-TEP score of 75.

Q8. Will students with an academic degree from an institution in an English speaking country be exempted from submitting a certificate of English language proficiency?

A8. No, the exchange students need to have English certification, for example, TOEFL, IELT, and CU-TEP.

Q9. Are there any requirements/regulations at the University exchange program applicants should be particularly aware of?

A9. Exchange students should be responsible for costs of tuition fee and registration, transportation, accommodation, health insurance, and complete the courses that registered.

Q10. Are there any requirements regarding enrolment period at the University exchange program applicants should be particularly aware of? (Minimum or Maximum study period in Waseda University before participating in exchange program)

A10 The maximum period for Bachelor’s Degree is one year or two semesters. The maximum period for Master’s Degree is one trimester or four months. Students should send the application and included documents 3 months before the class begin.

Q11. Will exchange students be able to do internship at a company or international organization during the semester exchange program? If so, is there any support to find the institute from the University?

A11. No.

Q12. Do you have any dormitories where exchange students are allowed to stay?

A12. Yes, it is called CU International House. The rate and information is on the website http://www.chula.ac.th/en/prospective- student/accommodation.

Q13. Please describe the procedure for obtaining the visa and the required documents.

A13. Please send all the information (attached file) to the Faculty of Political Science, .

- A completed application form

- A nomination letter from home institute

- 2 references in signed and sealed envelopes - An official transcript of academic records (to be issued by the institute presently being attended)

- An English proficiency score record

- A copy of passport

- Study plan / description of academic interests (on a separate sheet of A4-sized paper)

- Eight 1-inch-colored photos (with blue background) taken no more than six months in polite attire or a civil servant’s uniform, signed on the reverse side, one of which should be attached to the application form.

Chulalongkorn University will issue a letter of admission and a letter of introduction for the international student to apply for a visa category ‘ED’ at the Embassy of Thailand in his/her home country. A non-immigrant “ED” visa must be obtained before students leave their home country. Students should hold a visa category ‘ED’ before entering the Kingdom of Thailand.

Meaning, nature and scope of juvenile delinquency, criminological and sociological theories of delinquency, social influences on delinquency, justice procedure and guidelines for children and adolescents; contemporary issues and prevention of delinquency.

2403284 Cross - Cultural Management 3(3-0-6)

CROSS-CULT MGT

Concepts and theories of cross - cultural management affecting the operation related to different cultural groups and impact on organizational behavior in Thailand and abroad; topics on cross - cultural communication and cultural sensitivity, including problems and solutions to overcome culture shock; ethics in management of different cultures; guidelines for cross - cultural management for efficiency and productivity.
