Central Nippon Expressway Pass (CEP) will become available

at a rental car outlet in Kansai Airport!

～This is the first rental car outlet in Kansai Airport where you can apply for CEP!～

Central Nippon Expressway Company Limited (NEXCO-Central) has started offering the Central Nippon Expressway Pass (CEP) at Nippon Rent-A-Car’s Kansai Airport office from July 1st, 2017. This is the first rental car outlet in Kansai Airport where you can apply for CEP! Also, CEP will become available at Times Car Rental’s 29 outlets in the Kanto region. This makes CEP more convenient, and rental car outlets carrying CEP will increase from 104 to 137.

Also, from July 1st, you can use CEP more efficiency. Up to now, if you enter the expressway at an interchange outside a CEP service area and exited at an interchange within a CEP service area, or enter at an interchange within a service area and exited at an interchange outside a service area, CEP did not cover the entire use of the area whether a section covered by CEP was partially traveled or not. From July 1st, only a separate expressway toll for travel outside the CEP service area will be charged when you return the rental car and ETC card. Please allow us for taking your time for calculating the expressway tolls. Also, please return to the rental car drop-off outlet at your earliest convenience. Anyway, you can enjoy your travel by CEP fully even when you travel from an area outside the CEP service area, from example, Osaka, Kansai Airport and . If you started using CEP on June 30th or before, these payment terms will not apply to your travels starting on July 1st. Let’s enjoy your wonderful Central Japan road trip by rental cars, using CEP!

(1) This pass offers unlimited use of expressways within the designated area for a period of 2 to 14 days at a flat rate. CEP users can enjoy visiting fascinating and enjoyable tourist destinations such as Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa, Mount Fuji and Kyoto. (2) The customers pay a flat fee prior to using the expressways and use the ETC lane, allowing them to pass through the toll plazas without stopping to pay. This makes it a highly convenient product for visiting foreigners not familiar with Japanese expressways.
