The station is officially located at 300 North Church Street, and is 34 miles (55 km) from LaSalle Street, the northern end line, but parking is available between Church Street and far northeast of Haven Avenue. It is also the penultimate station along the RID line before reaching the end of the line at the Joliet Transport Center. In the Metra tariff system, New Lenox station is located in area G. The new Lenox station was originally built by Chicago, Rock Island and the Pacific Railroad in 1900. It is located north of U.S. 30, and west of the bridge that carries the former wabash rail line that serves Metra's southwest service line. The new station was built for this line on Laraway Road in 2006. Like Laraway Road, there is currently no bus service. Tracks there are 2 tracks on this station. On weekdays from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., trains from Chicago run on the 2nd route, and trains to Chicago run on the 1st way. After 2 p.m., trains from Chicago run on route 1, and trains in Chicago run on the 2nd way. On weekends, all trains run on the 1st route, unless the opposite is announced. NEW LENOX, IL - Metra has returned to an alternative weekday schedule for SouthWest, Heritage Corridor and North Central lines. Metra canceled service for three lines after protests in Chicago, but service resumed Monday, the company said in a release. The graphics to be used are the same graphics that were in effect before the protests. According to the release, Saturday services will be suspended on the service line in the southwest. Re: Public transportation from New Lenox to Wrigley 10 years ago the Metra Rock Island line stops at New Lenox, you'd take that all the way downtown, walk up State Street and catch the Red Line north towards Howard Street before stopping Addison. Check the metrarail.com and transitchicago.com. Note that not all trains stop in New Lenox.
