As a designer I offer my clients talent, training and industry experience to the business of design, contributing to such diverse companies, as Walt Disney Imagineering, Gameworks, Universal Studios, Nestle Corporation, Discovery Communications and PBS to name a few. My contributions include designs for EPCOT, Walt Disney World, Florida, Disneyland Paris, toys and games for Hasbro Toys, layouts and model designs for Marvel Productions, Walt Disney Television and Hanna Barbera Studios. I also designed, e Mystery of Docera for the Rank Xerox Pavilion at the Seville World’s Fair, Seville, Spain My strength as a designer is my curiosity, an active imagination, combined with a deft hand and ability to quickly render ideas in a manner that can be easily understood by the lay person as well as the engineer. For front end design Iwill match his ability with anyone in the field. If you have ever seen an animated cartoon, played with a toy, or visited a theme park, the chances are you may have encountered my work. I’ve considerable experience in the educational field as well, teaching Toy Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) in New York City, guest lecturing at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, teaching at the Academy of Art University, and e Art Institutes of California, in San Francisco, as well as Las Positas Community College in Livermore, CA. My academic experience includes curriculum design, new program design and the design of short-term overseas study programs. Recently I developed and taught a creativity and innovation course at San Francisco State University to a group of Chinese students and will teach a modified version of the course to a group of students from Japan, Summer 2015. As an instructor I brings a true love of learning to the classroom. I’ve has the authentic ability to connect with the student, young or mature, diverse in culture and personal identity. In my classroom I create an atmosphere of trust where risk is expected and failures are mere stepping stones to success. As an inventer, I have created a new method for making low cost flying model rockets using the home computer and an ink jet printer. is invention includes a course of study for the rockets for grades 4, 5 and 6, covering history, physics the sciences. Presently I’m developing 3-D printer component to the rocket design. My goal is simple, to have every boy and girl in America build and fly their own model rocket, become a “rocket scientist”and, of course, change the world with their knowledge and confidence. Cloud Leap: A casino/hotel complex designed around a story of mystery and magic, of a forgotten company, a lost visionary and an airship from a time past.
