Free Evening Chess Clubs

Clubs welcome players of all ages and abilities. If you don’t know how to play, we’ll get you started. If you participate in one of our school clubs, come and practice what you’ve learned during the week.

MONDAYS: • East Library Free Evening Chess Club – Under Renovation NEW LOCATION NEARBY - East Atlanta Kid's Club, 602 Brownwood Ave. SE, Atlanta GA 30316. Phone: 404-627-8050 This club meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month, 6:00-7:30pm. For players of all abilities. All students are welcome to learn and improve chess skills with a top Championship Chess Coach, Rodney Lewis. Contact Coach Rodney at 770-560-1071 or [email protected] with questions. • Northeast/Spruill Oaks LIBRARY Under Renovation – Chess Club has been Relocated to: East Roswell Library, 2301 Holcomb Bridge Rd., Roswell 30076. Classes at the new location start Monday, February 4 and continue every Monday from 6 – 7:30pm until further notice.

TUESDAYS: • The Ironman – Free Evening Chess Club at N. DeKalb Mall Ironman Free Chess Club meets at North DeKalb Mall the 1st and 3rd Tuesday every month at 6PM. We are in our 17th year in the Decatur Area and have never missed having the club meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday. We meet in the Challenges Game Store and you can enter from either their outside entrance or from in the Mall. WEDNESDAYS: • Douglasville Free Evening Chess Club at Mall Food Court This West side club meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, 6:00- 9:00pm, 6700 Douglas Blvd., Douglasville, GA 30135. Contact Coach Rudy at [email protected] for details.

THURSDAYS: • Books-A-Million in The Avenue Peachtree City This Fayette County club meets the 1st Thursday of each month, 6:00-7:30pm, 258 City Circle, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Contact Coach Rodney at [email protected] for details. • Free Evening Club at Sharon Forks Library: Resumes this Fall – Details TBA • Snellville Free Evening Chess Club at the Centerville Center Library This East Gwinnett club meets the 2nd Thursday of each month, 6:00-7:30pm, 3025 Bethany Church Road, Snellville, GA 30039. FRIDAYS: • South Gwinnett Free Evening Chess Club Green Olive is the new home of South Gwinnett’s Free Evening Chess Club. The Green Olive, located at 1500 Pleasant Hill Road, serves Turkish Gyros and Kabobs. Chess Club meets every Friday from 6:30 to 10:30pm. The club is Kid- Friendly, free, and open to all. • NEW Northlake Mall Free Evening Chess Club Meets from 6:00-8:30pm the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month in the food court near the windows.
