The report was prepared for section 46 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, in accordance with the requirements of that Act and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act 1983. It was approved by the Board on 11 September 2019 and provides a comprehensive review of the ABC’s performance and delivery in line with its Charter remit. The ABC continues to be the home and source of Australian stories, told across the nation and to the world. The Corporation’s commitment to innovation in both storytelling and broadcast delivery is stronger than ever, as the needs of its audiences rapidly evolve in line with technological change. Australians expect an independent, accessible public broadcasting service which produces quality drama, comedy and specialist content, entertaining and educational children’s programming, stories of local lives and issues, and news and current affairs coverage that holds power to account and contributes to a healthy democratic process.     Bedales Petersfield Live Events DANCE | DRAMA | MUSIC | SOCIAL TALKS | DRAMA MUSIC DANCE Autumn 2021 After the summer break, we are bringing the sunshine inside with this new season packed full of events. Let’s celebrate our collective love of the arts: come and watch comedy, music, theatre, and poetry right on your doorstep. After nearly 18 months of the live arts sector being closed for business, we are jubilant at the prospect of bringing events back to Bedales. We are positive you will enjoy this season as much as we enjoyed creating it. Starting off with an old favourite, Hackney Colliery Band are ready to raise the roof with their foot-stomping covers and original music. Later in September, the HandleBards are cycling over to us, set and costume slung over their shoulders: bring your picnic blankets for their all-female, outdoor version of Macbeth. Red Fox Theatre bring the warmth of a traditional pub theatre to the Lupton Hall, combining music and puppetry with captivating storytelling. The best and brightest in the country join us for talks and lectures including furniture maker and industrial designer Sebastian Bergne, AI expert and co-founder of CognitionX Tabitha Goldstaub (OB) and inspirational headteacher Tony Hartney CBE. Families and young audiences are treated to a choose-your-own adventure spectacular from friends of Bedales, Quick Duck Theatre. If it is comedy that piques your interest, but you are looking for an evening out after so many evenings in; The Noise Next Door are back again to entertain, enthrall and surprise. As the nights draw in, Phosphoros Theatre arrive to ignite our hearts and minds – ‘All the beds I have slept in’ is an insightful and stirring piece of theatre made by lived experience refugee performers.

THE CHANNEL 4 COMEDY GALA IN AID OF GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL CHILDREN’S CHARITY RETURNS TO THE O2 ARENA ON FRIDAY 15TH MAY 2015 ** Tickets go on sale from 9am Friday 6th March ** ‘Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Live At The O2’ in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity returns for a sixth year to London’s O2 arena, the world famous entertainment venue. The amazing all star line up confirmed for the biggest annual comedy event of the year so far includes: Aisling Bea, Alan Carr, Jack Dee, Jason Byrne, Jonathan Ross, Jon Richardson, Josh Widdicombe, Katherine Ryan, Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre, Paul Chowdhry, Rich Hall, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Sara Pascoe, Sean Lock , Seann Walsh, Shappi Khorsandi, Warwick Davis with many more to be announced. Money raised will go towards a brand new operating theatre at Great Ormond Street Hospital so that the surgeons can help more children with rare and often life threatening conditions. ‘Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Live At The O2’ will be recorded for a two hour Channel 4 TV special to be aired later on this year. The past five comedy galas have seen many of the nation’s favourite comedians and TV presenters show support by taking to the stage to perform at the O2 Arena.
