ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE The North American, Central American & Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC), has assigned the organization of the inaugural NACAC Age Group (A & B) Championships (Pentathlon-Heptathlon) to The National Association of Athletics Administrations of Trinidad and Tobago. GENERAL INFORMATION All delegations are reminded that the championships will be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad hence your final destination, by air should be Piarco International Airport (POS), Trinidad. Website: http://www.piarcoairport.com/ Airlines that fly to Trinidad include: Aeropostal, ALM, American Airlines, British Airways, Caribbean Airlines, COPA, Insel Air, JetBlue, LIAT (1974), Suriname Airways, United Airlines. Accommodation / Passport presentation / Age Verification / Accreditation Upon arrival, all delegations will be transported to the accreditation center at the Courtyard Marriott where athletes will be requested to show their travel documents. Passport and travel documents of all competitors will be checked by officials from the LOC at the accreditation Center. These will be returned promptly, following verification of Age, by the LOC and the Technical Delegate. Accommodation The delegations, coaches and delegates will stay at the following hotels in double and quadruple accommodations. 1. The Chancellor Hotel & Conference Centre 5 St Ann’s Avenue St Ann’s Port of Spain http://www.thechancellorhotel.com/ Accommodation Levy and Team Size There will be an accommodation levy of US $150.00 per team member. This must be paid at the accreditation center before teams are allowed to be accredited. The levy shall cover the period from 12:00 noon Friday, June 16th to 12:00 noon Monday June 19th, 2017 (3 Nights). Accommodation outside of the official period will be at the expense of each delegation. The number of team officials accompanying each delegation shall be limited as follows: . 1 competitor 1 team official . 2 - 5 competitors 2 officials . 6 - 8 competitors 4 officials If a team wishes to board additional officials in the accommodation provided by the Organizing Committee, the fee for these additional officials will be US $150.00 per person per day. Delegations must inform local organizing committee of travel plans so that the reception committee can be present at the airport. 2017 4 North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Trinidad and Tobago National Association of Athletics Federations (NAAATT) 1st NACAC AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017 Transportation Transportation will be provided round trip from the airport to the accommodation and from the accommodation to the competition area. Meals – Schedule . Breakfast at the Accommodation (6:30 – 8:00 a.m.) . Lunch at the Stadium (12:45 – 2:00 p.m.) . Dinner at the Stadium (7:30 – 9:00 p.m.) Medical Information Medical facilities will be available to provide necessary medical services. On site medical and physiotherapy services will be available at the stadium and on call at the championship accommodations. Any major medical treatment will be the responsibility of the individual or the Association they represent. The hospital will be the Port of Spain General Hospital. http://www.health.gov.tt/moh-healthfacilities/facility.aspx?id=19 Entry Requirements Visas are not required for travel to Trinidad and Tobago by most countries. The L.O.C. in conjunction with the government department in charge will work with delegations requiring such including: Dominican Republic and Haiti to ensure that they will be accommodated. Departure Tax Departure tax from Trinidad and Tobago is included in the cost of airline tickets Currency Legal currency of Trinidad and Tobago is the Trinidad and Tobago dollar (TT) although the US$ is accepted throughout the country. One (1) US$ is $6.40 (TT). Opening Ceremonies A short Opening Ceremony will be held on Saturday 17th June during the 2nd Session. All teams are requested to participate. The stadium's facility is in close proximity from the accommodations where the athletes and officials will be staying and has a 400m Synthetic Track, certified level 2 by IAAF. The track has 8 lanes, four (4) areas for long jump and high jump, two (2) areas for baseball throw and one (1) shot put circle. The warm up area will be located close to the stadium. The Call Room will be located in this area.
