The rodeo is a UPRA and CPRA sanctioned event By and is being sponsored by TexasBank and the Comanche Roping Club Both nights the gates open at 6:00 p.m. with the mutton bustin’ for the youth beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 6 to 12. Under 5 is free. Tickets may be purchased a online at PayPal.Me/ ComancheRopingClub, in the memo box specify your ticket purchase and they will check you at the gate. Tickets will be available at the gate as well. Friday and Saturday their will be a special performance at 8:00 p.m. by the Ladies Ranch Bronc Tour provided by the Texas Bronc Riders Association. After the rodeo on both nights a dance will be featured starting at 10:00 p.m. with live music. On Friday the Clint Allen Janisch Band will be performing and on Saturday the live music will be provided by Creed Fisher. On Saturday at 10:30 a.m. a rodeo parade will be held in downtown Comanche. After the parade stick around in downtown Comanche for ice cream, roping, stick horse races, vendor booths and food trucks. The parade and events following the parade are sponsored by the Comanche Chamber of Commerce. Look for the decorated windows and bunting around town. There is window decorating contest all over town that the businesses are participating in. -

LSHSBA RULE BOOK 2019 --- 2020 Rev.10-1-19 GENERAL RULES Contestants: 1) Contestants must be a LSHSRA member in good standing. All membership forms complete, and fees paid. 2) Every contestant must check the posted draw lists and be responsible as to their stock, draw & position per event 3) All contestants are required to read the rules carefully, particularly those relating to the event in which they enter. 4) All contestants must be 18 years of age or under as of September 1 of the beginning of the rodeo year. Must be single, never married and not have any children. Entry Fees: 1) Checks will be deposited the Monday before the rodeo 2) NO REFUNDS will be given . Exceptions will be made only if the contestant is sick/injured and provides a written statement from a physician given to the rodeo secretary stating contestant's illness or injury . A veterinary draw out must meet the same criteria as a contestant's medical draw out. The rodeo secretary must be notified of such medical /veterinary draw out no later than 7PM the Friday prior to rodeo . You will lose your $10 office charge , if you have a stock charge you will lose that. 3) Late Fees : A $25 late fee will be incurred on all entries received upon completion of the last event of the previous rodeo or after stated receipt date on entry for first rodeo of the season . 4) Entry Deadline : All Entries are due by the completion of the prior rodeo . If you are not entered by that day you will be assessed the $25 late fee to each entry form . -

Central Kansas Youth Rodeo Association Rulebook 2017 Rodeo Times & Dates All rodeos will start promptly at 9:00a.m. Saturday / 9:00a.m. Sunday CKYRA Finals will start at 9:00 a.m. both days ORDER OF EVENTS Sheep Riding, Calf Riding, Steer Riding, Bull Riding, Dummy Roping (Runs in the arena in front of West roping boxes), Bareback Steer Riding, Chute Dogging, Saddle Bronc Steer Riding, 2-4th Breakaway Sled Roping, Breakaway Calf Roping(2-4th, 5-8th, 9-12th), Ribbon Roping (5-8th, 9-12th), 5-8th Tie-Down Sled Roping, Tie Down Calf Roping (5-8th, 9-12th), 2-4th Breakaway Steer Roping, Team Roping (Heading 5- 8th, 9-12th, Heeling 5-8th, 9-12th), Goat Tail Untying: 1ST GRADE & UNDER, Goat Tying 2nd-4th Grade, 5th-8th Grade*, 9th-12th Grade Girls Only Pole Bending: 1ST GRADE & UNDER, 2nd-4th Grade, 5th-8th Grade Girls Only, 9th-12th Grade Girls Only Barrel Racing: 1ST GRADE & UNDER, 2nd-4th Grade, 5th-8th Grade Girls Only, 9th-12th Grade Girls Only Sunday. Boy/girl order will then be reversed at each rodeo. CKYRA Finals Eligibility Each Contestants must qualify to enter the finals. Each contestant must compete in 6 prior rodeos per event and be a member in good standing to qualify. Each Contestant must enter and participate in the finals to be eligible to receive awards. If contestant is unable to compete at finals do to a uncontrolled situation, awards will be given at the board discretion on a case by case basis. Finals Entries need to be turned in and paid by the end of the rodeo previous to the Finals Rodeo (Checks will be cashed prior to Finals weekend). -

Ground Rules
Ground Rules Standard Event Order : Bareback Riding, Breakaway Roping, Tie Down Roping, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc Riding, Goat Tying, Team Roping, Pole Bending and Bull Riding. Cow Cutting order for double cuts: Girls Cutting, Boys Cutting, Boys Cutting and Girls Cutting. At times, a rodeo committee is approved to change the event order. The details and any change in event order is posted on the website. It is your responsibility to review the information page for each rodeo as posted on the websites schedule page. Cow Cutting: Cutting may or may not be held at the same location or same time as all qualifying rodeos. This allows the committees the opportunity to pool resources with another rodeo committee. If a cutting is held at a different location the same day of a rodeo, there will be adequate time allocated for you to travel to the rodeo grounds to compete in your remaining events. Reined Cow Horse: RCH is not a standard event and will be offered a minimum of three (3) times at the qualifying level. 10 points will be awarded for 1 st place down to 1 point for 10 th place. Because this is not a standard event, All-Around points are not awarded for the qualifying competitions. Only points earned at the state finals rodeo will apply to All- Around. Tie Down Ropers : Starting the Fall of 2020, if you “Jerk Down” a calf, you will be assessed a 5 second penalty. The Missouri-Kansas Youth Rodeo Association, Inc. Rules and Regulations 2016 Edition MO-KAN YOUTH RODEO ASSOCIATION, INC. PURPOSES AND AIMS 1. To maintain order and standards set up by the Mo-Kan Youth Rodeo Association among members at their functions. The Mo-Kan Youth Rodeo Association is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. 2. To promote youth rodeo on a Regional scale and to work toward this bringing recognition to this activity for the members of the Mo-Kan Youth Rodeo Association. 3. To promote the highest type of conduct and sportsmanship at the various rodeos by setting up standards to be met to reach this end. 4. To keep the Western Heritage alive in America. 5. Guidelines for a Special Event
Guidelines for a Special Event SC-096. Special Paint Events. Organizations or individuals wishing to stage or sponsor Special Events (i.e. team pennings, cuttings, ranch sortings, reinings, team ropings, mounted shootings, dressage competitions, speed events) must obtain approval of the APHA if the results of such events are to be recognized and points are to be awarded to the horses which place sufficiently high in that event. Approval does not carry over from year to year, but must be obtained for each individual event. All rules and regulations and fees pertaining to APHA shows will be followed in APHA Special Events. 1. A special event is limited to two judges in the arena at any given time and held on one day. a. Specialty judges may be hired for specific classes as outlined in Rule JU-000.C. 2. Mileage restriction: Rule SC-090.I.applies only if the regular APHA approved show includes the special event classes. 3. A special event can be held on contiguous dates and within 250 miles of any other APHA-approved show. However, a maximum of 2 special events can be held on contiguous dates and within 250 miles of each other. 4. Maximum events: A maximum of 3 special event categories may be held as listed below. a.
