    LSHSBA RULE BOOK 2019 --- 2020 Rev.10-1-19 GENERAL RULES Contestants: 1) Contestants must be a LSHSRA member in good standing. All membership forms complete, and fees paid. 2) Every contestant must check the posted draw lists and be responsible as to their stock, draw & position per event 3) All contestants are required to read the rules carefully, particularly those relating to the event in which they enter. 4) All contestants must be 18 years of age or under as of September 1 of the beginning of the rodeo year. Must be single, never married and not have any children. Entry Fees: 1) Checks will be deposited the Monday before the rodeo 2) NO REFUNDS will be given . Exceptions will be made only if the contestant is sick/injured and provides a written statement from a physician given to the rodeo secretary stating contestant's illness or injury . A veterinary draw out must meet the same criteria as a contestant's medical draw out. The rodeo secretary must be notified of such medical /veterinary draw out no later than 7PM the Friday prior to rodeo . You will lose your $10 office charge , if you have a stock charge you will lose that. 3) Late Fees : A $25 late fee will be incurred on all entries received upon completion of the last event of the previous rodeo or after stated receipt date on entry for first rodeo of the season . 4) Entry Deadline : All Entries are due by the completion of the prior rodeo . If you are not entered by that day you will be assessed the $25 late fee to each entry form .

Photo by Roy Stewart Saddle Bronc Riding will be among the exciting pro-rodeo events at the 2021 Stonyford Rodeo, on Friday and Saturday, April 30 and May 1, 2021, in Stonyford, California. Other events will include Bull Riding, Bareback Riding, Steer Roping, Tie-Down Roping, WPRA Barrel Racing and the new event of WPRA Breakaway Roping. J J Harrison will return as barrelman and specialty act. Veteran announcer Kelly Kenney will replace Don Jesser, who has retired. The Bridwell Pro Rodeo Company will provide the stock, as they have done for past rodeos. A local young lady will be selected Rodeo Queen on Friday morning, April 30, and her name announced at Friday’s rodeo, which starts at 5 p.m. Sunday’s Amateur Rodeo events on May 2, 2021, will complete the Stonyford Rodeo weekend. Tickets are now available at www.stonycreekhorsemen.org. They are also available at the following locations: Stonyford General Store, Stonyford; Carl's Feed, Willows; Boot Barn, Chico & Yuba City; Bucke's Feed & Grain, Orland; Marie's Lakeshore Feed, Clearlake; Rainbow Ag, Lakeport; and Ace Hardware, Arbuckle. To promote youth rodeo on a Regional scale and to work toward this bringing recognition to this activity for the members of the Mo-Kan Youth Rodeo Association. 3. To promote the highest type of conduct and sportsmanship at the various rodeos by setting up standards to be met to reach this end. 4. To keep the Western Heritage alive in America. 5. To promote humane treatment of animals. 6. To promote closer relationships among the people interested in this activity and the organizations they represent. 7. To increase and maintain the interest of students in rodeos and other related functions. 8.     2020 NJHFR & NHSFR GROUND RULES GENERAL RULES ▪ [ PAGE 47 ] It shall be the judge’s responsibility to see the contestant competes on the stock drawn for them. ▪ [ PAGE 57 ] After the draw is made, in case stock is sick, cripple, or already shipped, replacement will be drawn from the extras. In case of crippled stock that are in after the draw is made, stock will be re-drawn from the position of the crippled stock on down the list. This is the case of no extra cattle being available. ▪ [ PAGE 57 ] DELETE WORDING: If stock is not drawn in front of the chutes, time and place of the draw must be posted on the Bulletin Board or at the chutes. ▪ [ PAGE 52 ] ADD: In all judged scoring events, adopt ½ point system.
