The plan also includes a new dedicated website: NY.gov/Boosters • The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday, September 24, 2021 reversed a recommendation by an agency advisory panel that did not endorse booster shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid vaccine for frontline and essential workers. Occupational risk of exposure will now be part of the consideration for the administration of boosters, which is consistent with the FDA determination.
