Obiettivi fondamentali sono quelli di prevenire il deterioramento di aree non inquinate e di risanare quelle dove attualmente sono riscontrabili livelli di rumorosità ambientale superiori ai valori limite. La zonizzazione è inoltre un indispensabile strumento di previsione per una corretta pianificazione, ai fini della tutela dall’inquinamento acustico, delle nuove aree di sviluppo urbanistico o per la verifica di compatibilità dei nuovi insediamenti o infrastrutture in aree già urbanizzate. La definizione delle zone permette di derivare per ogni punto posto nell’ambiente esterno i valori limite per il rumore da rispettare e di conseguenza risultano così determinati, già in fase di progettazione, i valori limite che ogni nuovo impianto, infrastruttura, sorgente sonora non temporanea deve rispettare.

The performance of two different fertigation techniques (drip irrigation and pivot) were assessed using the digestate liquid fraction. A two-year field test was carried out at two different sites in Lombardy, northern Italy. At each site, fertigation with pivot (P-F, site 1) or drip (D-F, site 2) systems was compared to reference fields where the same irrigation techniques without addition of digestate were used. During the two seasons, the performance of the fertigation systems, amount of fertilizers used, soil nitrogen content, yields, and nitrogen content of the harvested plants were monitored. The digestate application averaged 5 m3/ha per fertigation event with P-F and 4.9 m3/ha with D-F corresponding, respectively, to 28 and 23 kg N/ha.

A vast water basin, the legendary and mysterious Lake Cycling between Lodi and Milan TGerundo, extended in the past from Truc- 10 CYCLING ROUTES FROM PUNTO PARCO CASA DELL’ACQUA IN PAULLO cazzano southwards, flooding most of that land that today is called the “Lodigiano” north from Lodi. Floods of the rivers Adda and Serio formed an area of morasses and marshes, and it is from the Latin word for marsh, “palus” (in Ital- ian “palude”) that the name Paullo is derived. The existence of Lake Gerundo is men- tioned in chronicles and documents until year 1000. Later on, the work of land recla- mation performed throughout Milanese and Lodigiano drained the lake away. Today the remains of this lake can be seen in Mignete (see Routes 1, 4 and 9) hamlet of Zelo Buon Persico, where a vast grove of reeds and wetlands (the famous “Mortone”) can be observed from the morphological terrace near the cycling route towards Lodi, along the Provincial Street SP16. Objectives: To perform a cross- sectional study among adult residents near the Orio al Serio International Airport (BGY), Italy to investigate the association between aircraft noise, annoyance, sleep disorders, blood pressure levels, and prevalence of hypertension. Methods: Residential addresses of subjects aged 45-70 years were geocoded and classified in three groups according to noise levels: <60 (Reference), 60-65 (Zone A), and 65-75 dBA (Zone B). A sample of subjects was invited to undergo a personal interview and blood pressure measurements. Multiple linear and robust Poisson regression models were used to analyze quantitative and categorical variables, respectively.

I thank the President of the Lombardy Region for his words. I cordially greet the Archbishop of Milan, the Bishops of Bergamo, Brescia, Cremona, Crema and Lodi, and the other authorities present. I greet the doctors, nurses, healthcare and civil protection workers and the Alpine troopers. I greet the priests and consecrated people. You have come as representatives of Lombardy, one of the Italian regions most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, along with Piedmont, Emilia Romagna and Veneto, particularly Vo’ Euganeo, represented here by the Bishop of Padua. Today I symbolically embrace these regions as well. And I greet the representatives of Rome’s Spallanzani Hospital, a medical unit that has done a great deal in battling the virus. Over the course of these troubled months, various organizations of Italian society have worked hard to confront the health emergency with generosity and commitment. I am thinking of national and regional institutions, of municipalities; I am thinking of dioceses and of parish and religious communities; of so many volunteer associations. We have felt more deeply than ever an appreciation for doctors, nurses and all healthcare workers on the front lines in providing an arduous and at times heroic service. They have been visible signs of humanity that warm the heart. Many of them became sick and sadly, some died in exercising their profession. Let us remember them in our prayers with much gratitude.
