December Students of the Month This year, Sprague will be recognizing students who are excelling at leaving an OLY Legacy by following our school-wide behavior expectations: Own Your Actions, Live a Life you are Proud Of, and Yes to Success. Each month, Sprague staff will nominate and vote on students for our Student of the Month award. The top nominees from each grade level will be chosen as our Students of the Month. This aligns with our school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system for behavior management which helps us create a school culture that is focused on learning so that all students graduate and are prepared for a successful life. For the month of December we focused on students who excelled in all areas of our school-wide expectations: Own Your Actions, Live a Life you are Proud of, and Yes to Success. Congratulations to the following students who have been identified as our December Students of the Month by the Sprague staff:

We Got It!

The Sprague Athenaeum (a.k.a. Library) applied for and was awarded a $1,000 grant offered by MAPS Credit Union. Sprague students created a video emphasizing the need to remodel the bleak space that once housed a computer lab in the Library. Students were asked what they would like to do with the space. They repeatedly asked for a comfortable place to read, collaborate, and create. They wanted areas similar to college workspaces. The repurposed space will feature a computer bar, comfortable seating, natural lighting, and collaboration stations. The $1,000 will help to get this exciting project started.

Thank you to the following students for their assistance with the video that was submitted:

Also, a big thank you to the Sprague Community for all of the votes that helped us get awarded this grant. We appreciate the support!
