A PROCLA:i),IATION. HEREAS it hath pleased Almighty Goo to call to His mercy Our late Sovereign Lady Queen W VICTORIA of blessed and glorious memory, by whose decease the Imperial Crown of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and , and all other Her late Majesty's dominions, is solely and right­ fully come to the high and mighty Prince ALBERT EDWARD, we, the Honourable Sir JOHN STOKELL DODDS, Knight, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Chief Justice of the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, and Adminis­ trator of the Government of the said State, the Honourable the Premier and Attorney-Genera-!, the Honourable the Chief Secretary, the Honourable the Treasurer, the Honourable the Ministe1~ of Lands and Works, and the other Honourable Members of the Executive Council, in Council, being here assisted by their Honors the Judges of the Supreme Comt, the Honourable the President and_ Honourable Members of the Legislative Council, the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Assembly, and the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Hobart, therefore do now hereby, with one full voice and concert of tongue and heart, publish and proclaim that the high and mighty PrincP, ALBERT EDWARD is now, by the death of Our late Sovereign of happy and glorious memory, become our only lawful and rightful liege Lord EDWARD '.l'HE SEVENTH by the of Gon King of t.he United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, , Emperor of India, Supreme Lord in and over the State of Tasmania and its _Dependencies, in the Commonwealth of Australia, to whom we do acknowledge all faith and constant obedience, with all hearty and humble affection, beseeching Goo, by whom Kings and Queens do reign, to bless the Royal Prince EnwARD THE SEVENTH with long and happy years to reign over us.
