Overview

Much of the history of Earth was lost after the Third World War in 1999 when Humans nearly destroyed Earth with nuclear weapons. The Nobility, , foresaw the destruction the humans would unleash upon the world and hid themselves away in bunkers with enough supplies and technology to rebuild in the aftermath. With the world a wasteland of death and disease the Nobles emerged from their hidden shelters and set about conquering what remained. Fast forward more than 12,000 years into the future and the world has become completely unrecognizable. Creatures only heard of in myth and legend now stalk the world and beasts of unimaginable size swim through the desert wastes as if it were made of water. The Nobility, further divided into Greater Nobles and Lesser Nobles, have divided the world into Regions each ruled by a different Noble family. The humans live lives similar to something out of a sci fi western movie and are ruled by the Nobles. The Nobles care little for the humans, seeing them as nothing more than food and often people will go missing in the night without a sound. Those marked with the ‘Kiss of Nobility’ are often viewed as cursed beings bringing nothing but misfortune upon their families and communities and are often exiled due to fear. The Nobles have grown lazy in their excess and have lost much of their technology and splendor they once possessed. At the height of their power the Nobility were capable of 2

terraforming worlds, destroying planets, creating pocket dimensions, and so, so much more. The Nobility was even able to create a device that erases the memories of their weaknesses from the minds of Humans. It was once shown a human used garlic on a Noble by accident and had completely forgotten minutes later the weakness even existed. The Nobles themselves are ruled by the Sacred Ancestor. A being of unimaginable age and power rumored to have existed before the time of the dinosaurs, though it is rumored he dates to even before the Earth’s creation or even the universe itself. The Sacred Ancestor has access to a device known as the Akashic Records which is a record of all that was, is, and will be. Able to manipulate the Records, the Sacred Ancestor is capable of destroying his enemies before they can even be conceived. This is the world you now find yourself. A world where the strong prey on the weak and the darkness holds terror beyond imagination. However there is a wealth of unimaginable technology and wonder to be found here, should you be brave enough to venture into the grand castles of the Nobility.

Take 1000 CP 3

Locations

Much of the Earth has changed since 1999 to a point that the planet is unrecognizable. Instead of a specific location you will instead be placed within walking distance of a certain village where a girl named Charlotte will go missing. You will not arrive in enough time to prevent the kidnapping, but you will eventually run into one of the main cast. Thus giving you the opportunity to choose sides, or not to choose at all.

4

Races

Human (Free) - The Humans live in constant fear of the moment the sun sets. In this world they are the cattle. As a Human you will receive the skills and powers to become a skilled Bounty Hunter. Mutant (200 CP) - After the bombs fell and the world was turned into an irradiated wasteland, many humans began to show signs of mutations. While others were simply the result of Noble experimentation. As a Mutant your kind tend to be more specialized towards assassination. Noble (400 CP) - The Nobles are the second tier of the hierarchy. They are vastly more powerful and faster than humans and their ghoulish mindless counterparts. They’re minds are more suited for a life lasting eternity. Your kind are hated and feared by the Human masses and the Greater Nobles will often outstrip you in power by an order of magnitude. As a Noble your kind are a class to your own, you can choose to be a Drop In or start within your Castle (If you bought one) as a member of the Nobility.

5

Perks

As always Perks are discounted for the race you have chosen.

Human Perks (Perks costing 100 are free) Hardknock Life (100) - Y ours is a hard lot. Not having the advanced technology of the Nobility, the common man has had to relearn old skills for the new world. You now have knowledge of basic survival in the wilderness. This also includes such skills as hunting, fishing, cooking, camping, knowledge of weather, and all the things you would need to learn to survive in the wilderness on your own for days at a time. Marksman (200) - You are a skilled marksman capable of hitting a dime from a hundred yards with no trouble. Should you use a bow you will find your ability to knock arrows to have increased to terrifying speeds to the point that people would think you have a machine gun capable of firing arrows. Bounty Hunter (400) - You are a skilled tracker and hunter. Once you’ve laid eyes on your target you can mark them, once marked it becomes impossible for them to escape you. This mark can only be applied to a single target at a time. This also gives you above average skills in hunting and tracking in general, so that even without the mark you are skilled enough that only the most guileful individuals would be capable of escaping you. 6

Ethereal Bomber (800) - You are capable of Astrally Projecting out of your body with just a moment of focus. Once Astrally Projecting you can phase through walls and objects as well as travel at incredible speeds across great distances. However, the real prize of this power is the ability to focus and project beams of powerful energy capable of slicing through steel like a hot knife through butter. Be warned though, while in this state your body is exposed and defenseless unless you have someone to watch over you.

Mutants (Perks costing 100 are free) Blending In (100) - Y ou might be an inhuman creature, but you are skilled at blending into areas you normally wouldn’t. You have the power to hide inhuman traits and characteristics while in locations where such things could be viewed negatively. Golem The Tortureless (200) - You are extremely strong and durable. You can, at will, control the density of your musculature on the surface making you near invulnerable to blunt force trauma. Gimlet (400) - Y ou’re fast, like super fast. You are capable of running at 300 mph. Like Gimlet you are capable of stopping mid-run to create after images of yourself that can confuse opponents. Deadly Duo (800) - Choose 1 (Can be purchased again but not at a discount). No matter which you choose you also gain the added benefit of Immortality. Benge: A shroud-encased mutant with a warped sense of humor and a kabuki-like white face and hands. He crafts illusions and ensnares his foes with a dramatic time-space warping trap. He can expand and flatten himself into a shadow-like darkness, he can move along inside shadows and can actually kill a being by attacking their shadows. His form can also absorb energy attacks like Grove's blasts. You can also expand your body at the moment of impact of an attack to absorb it as well as trap foes in a powerful illusion of an endless void. All around this is the perfect assassin power set. Caroline: Your skin becomes green and your hair becomes incredibly long. You have the power to transmute your entire body, or parts of it, into wood at will. This allows you to merge yourself with trees and travel at great speed between them. As well as giving you incredible stealth abilities in forest areas. You can also manipulate your hair into turning into wooden stakes to impale your enemies as well as causing them to extend over great distances. Trees you blend into can be controlled by your will, causing roots to shoot up and grab your foes or sending branches of sharpened stakes to pierce the hearts of your enemy easily. Caroline is also skilled in sorcery, and now you are too. Even if you should be decapitated you will be able to survive long enough to use your hair as spider limbs to reattach your head to your body and survive.

7

Noble (Perks costing 100 are free) Impossible Regeneration (100) - The Vampires of this universe have a unique ability to heal not just any wound to their body, but also to any object they are wearing. Should someone blast a hole the size of a fist into your fine Noble clothing not only will your flesh knit back together within seconds, but so too will your clothing. This also includes jewelry and armor, up to magically enchanted but not technologically advanced armor. Left Hand (200) - Y our left hand now has a gaping hole within it capable of consuming an infinite amount of anything, including souls. This can be used to prevent certain creatures from resurrecting by consuming their souls or it can be used to chew through impossibly thick objects to escape situations where you might be trapped. For an additional 200 CP (Undiscounted) your left hand can be upgraded with a sapient personality. This personality will know a lot about many things across many Jumps and will be a fount of useful knowledge. However, he/she is a coward and loves sarcasm and will not hesitate to annoy you just for fun. They can also take control of your arm should you be rendered unconscious so that they might protect you or provide life saving aid. For an additional 100 CP (400 CP total) you can get a version of Left Hand with a personality (Or lack of) that you desire. With the full breadth of Left Hand’s power. Increased Stats (800 Can only be purchased once) - Choose one; strength, speed, and intelligence. The selected stat is boosted massively even when compared to Greater Nobles. Speed would allow you to cross infinity within an instant, strength to casually create a gaping chasm as deep as the Mariana Trench by accident, and intelligence would make your mind burn brighter than the brightest sun in comparison to other so called geniuses. Greater Nobility (1000) - You are no mere Noble vampire. You are descendant from the Greater Nobility who have ruled not just Human kind, but all Vampire Kind for millennia. All of your attributes are boosted to massive levels, including regeneration. As a Greater Noble nothing but the traditional weaknesses of Vampire Kind is capable of killing you, and even they are lessened in effect. Your body could be completely atomized and you would still return to the world of the living, fully intact with all your possessions in pristine condition. The only things capable of killing you are prolonged exposure to sunlight, a wooden stake to the heart, or a creature (Like D) capable of negating regeneration. For more information on the Greater Nobilities nearly limitless powers see the Wiki.

General and Undiscounted Perks Akashic Immunity (Free / 200 to keep) - To protect you from the Sacred Ancestor, who has power over the Akashic Records, you have been given this gift for this Jump only (Unless you spent an additional 200 to keep it). This perk grants you immunity from such effects that would erase you from existence or tamper with your soul. You cannot be finger 8

snapped out of existence, Death Noted to die, or just erased from a book that controls reality. If someone wants you gone, they’re going to have to deal with you themselves in person. Weakened Weaknesses (200) - For Humans this perk makes you much more durable and resistant to all forms of disease, both natural and otherwise, as well as poisons. If you took the E thereal Bomber perk then you would be able to use your energy attacks even when not in an Astral form. For Mutants you will find your abilities increase in strength while any weaknesses you might have due to your nature are greatly reduced. If you took the Deadly Duo perk you will find your powers are also increased. Benge is now able to create shadows where previously none existed while those who purchased C aroline can now transmute into anything that they are touching. Finally, if you are a Noble you find that you are immune to Sunlight, to an extent. Now instead of bursting into flames when exposed to Sunlight it will merely sap your energy and if you spend too long in Sunlight you will suffer from heat stroke. If you purchased G reater Noble you become highly resistant to the more bizarre weaknesses of your species; garlic, running water, religious symbols, and your thirst for blood is lessened. You also gain the ability to transform your arm into a metal armored claw that can slice through titanium with ease. Impossible Possibilities (500) - The Nobility were masters of science and sorcery. In their prime they created such technologies beyond our wildest dreams. Technology to scoop up entire cities and place them within their pockets, weapons capable of destroying multiple worlds in a single shot, shields powered by the movement of the galaxy, and starships that make even clarktech levels of shenanigans seem like a child’s toy in comparison. Now all that knowledge is in your head, and what you do with it is up to you. Seriously, the tech from Vampire Hunter D is over-the-top insane. At the height of their technological success this universe made Star Trek, Stargate, and Warhammer seem like primitives playing with sticks.

Items

General Items (Undiscounted). Nobles Receive +200 CP for the Item section only.

Noble Aesthetics (50) - Maybe High Gothic is your style and you want to do a bit of redecorating in your Warehouse? Well, look no further. This item restyles your warehouse to look like something straight out of a Vampire Hunter D book. Vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, gold skulls, and silver spiderwebs etched into the wall. Both elegant and wholly intimidating to all those who enter. Nobility Forcefield (300) - This shield generator is powerful enough to withstand a weapon capable of destroying planets with ease. It is powered by the motion of the Galaxy itself providing limitless energy. The only ones capable of negating this field is the Sacred Ancestor himself and the notorious Vampire Hunter known as D. Ion Bat Spaceship (250 / 500) - A ship as seen in the Animated Movie Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust. Not much is known about these ships and their capabilities, however there is much we can assume based on tidbits of knowledge from times past during their war with an alien race. These ships, shaped like Bats, are durable and well engineered enough so 10

that you could park one in a facility and leave it unattended to for thousands of years and it would still be capable of flying with barely a hiccup. For 500 you get a pristine and fully functional Noble Spaceship with ion powered engines capable of going from the Earth to the Moon in minutes or less, anti-proton cannons, and plasma cannons. We don’t know much else beyond this, but if they are anything like Noble Palaces then they are most likely a lot larger on the inside with many defenses in place like those seen used in the Noble Safehouse. We also do not know how many people are needed to crew the ship, but for you I’ll make it so that it really only needs you to crew it. For 250 you get a rundown version of this ship that needs quite a bit of TDL to get it back up in tip top shape. This version might be able to launch and reach space, maybe. The weapons are damaged and offline and there are multiple hull breaches throughout the ship. You’re also going to want to take a look at the Ion Engine because it’s making some odd noises that doesn’t sound healthy for your continued survival. You can import a ship you already own giving your ship all of the technology of the Ion Bat Spaceship. Akashic Records (1000) - You now have your very own version of the Akashic Records used by the Sacred Ancestor. This item is an etheric record of all that ever was, is, or will be within the universe since even before its creation. This power, book, item, whatever you want to call it, is capable of warping reality to an extreme degree. The possibilities of this object are unimaginable in scope, but are locked away until you have gained your spark. Until then, this object can be used to completely erase one enemy from existence regardless of their powers, strengths, or nature once per Jump. After you have gained your Spark you will be able to use this item to the fullest extent of its abilities.

Humans (100 CP Items are free) Weapons (100) - You gain a wrist mounted crossbow, throwing knives, and a basic powder rifle of your choosing. Bolt Gun (200) - This weapon uses pressurized air to fire a Bolt at speeds of Mach 3. Because it uses pressurized air the gun makes barely any sound when fired and has no kick whatsoever (To put in perspective how powerful this is it travels 1029 meters per second compared to the Bolter from Warhammer 40k going 349 meters per second). Each clip holds 50 rounds and the weapon is as bulky and long as an AR-15. The only downside is the gun weighs around ten pounds. For an additional 50 CP I’ll restyle the weapon to look just like a Bolter, just don’t tell Games Workshop. You can also choose to import a weapon you already own to receive this as an upgrade. Liquid Metal Suit (400) - A suit of liquid metal that can cover your entire body within a millisecond. The suit can harden or soften with a thought. Only someone at the level of a Greater Noble could hope to do any damage to this suit of armor. The armor is also 11

capable of rearranging itself to create blades and weapons. Finally, the suit grants its wearer immense strength capable of crushing boulders with ease. You can import a suit of armor you already own and combine them with this option. Atomic Bus (500) - An exact copy of the vehicle used by the Marcus Clan in the movie Bloodlust. This is an all terrain heavily armored vehicle powered by an unknown energy source, but for you it’s a source of limitless energy. The Bus has no weapons to speak of, but is covered with enough crosses to scare away most Nobles. The armor is especially thick and durable and the Bus comes with a detachable single wheeled motor bike. I’ll even throw in a bazooka if you purchase this item, just for fun.

Mutant (100 CP Items are free) Fitted Clothing (100) - This set of clothes, styled however you wish, will always fit you no matter what shape or form you are in or what extremities you might have. The clothes provide a modest level of protection, akin to wearing leather armor, and will repair on their own rather quickly over time. The clothes will also alter their shape and appearance to whatever you desire in the future. Mecha Horse (200) - As it says, this is a mechanical horse. Capable of folding up into itself for ease of storage. Once unfolded the Mecha Horse is faster than modern day sports cars with half the maintenance cost to keep it maintained. However, just for you, this Mecha Horse will never need maintenance or fuel. Great Spear (400) - A twenty foot long spear with a monomolecular edge running 1/3rd its length. The spear is made of a super dense alloy and uses technology created by the Sacred Ancestor himself and is capable of disrupting the molecules of even those who possess molecular manipulation abilities. Some say it is fused with just a fraction of the Sacred Ancestors power as it has withstood millions of tons of force while only bending slightly. The spear is able to damage even those with no corporeal form. Finally, just for you, I’ll add in the ability to shorten the spear’s length if twenty feet seems a bit much to you. You can shorten the spear down to the length of an average spear. If you have a weapon that is a Spear or can shape itself into a Spear then you can import it into this option. Barbarois (500) - This is a hidden village filled with Mutants just like you, and now it’s yours. The mutants of this village can vary in shape, form, and function as the Nobles created them based on Myth and Legend. So expect to see things like a Cyclopse or a Gorgon. They’re a bit of a disorganized and chaotic bunch, but if put into shape they could be a force to be reckoned with. As for the village itself, it is said the Sacred Ancestor himself once graced your village and blessed it, curing the land of the radiation and poison. The land your village is on is extremely fertile and green, providing nearly limitless food and 12

clean water. In the books the village is lifted out of the poisons of the Earth and floats hidden among the clouds, but the movie has it hidden in a mountainous area. You can choose whichever version you like best. As it stands the village has enough going for it to be self sufficient and Any improvements made to this village will carry over in future Jumps as it follows you and the Mutants within will recognize you as their undisputed leader, just be careful not to bad mouth the Sacred Ancestor in front of them.

Noble (100 CP Items are free)

Noble Regalia (100) - This set of very regal looking clothing is similar to that which is worn by Meier Link in the movie Bloodlust. And just like his clothing your cape is capable of hardening to a startling degree to be used as a shield, to glide, or even a weapon. The clothing is designed however you wish, but must maintain a similar appearance to that of Meier Links seen within the movie. Noble Carriage (200) - This is a Cyber Horse drawn carriage as seen in the movie Bloodlust. The Carriage is extremely durable and pulled by 4 Cyber Horses. Despite it looking archaic when compared to cars of the modern day, those within will find the ride even more smooth and relaxing than any modern day vehicle on any pristine road. The Carriage is deathly silent, much larger on the inside, comes with a coffin to sleep the day away, four Cyber Horses, is incredibly durable, and the horses can be told where you desire to go and will travel there while you relax inside. Sol Gun (400) - M aybe you just got into a dispute with another Noble and need some means to… shall we say… “Burn that bridge”? Well this weapon is capable of pulling in natural sunlight and magnifying it by 50 million degrees shooting out intense heat that can punch through three feet of titanium in a thousandth of a second. Thirty minutes of exposure to sunlight on a sunny day or sixty minutes on a rainy day is enough to charge this weapon for over two hundred hours. Enjoy responsibly! If you have an energy weapon then you can import it into this option and combine them. Castle of Chaythe (500 Free with Greater Noble) - This massive Castle, as seen in the movie Bloodlust, now belongs to you. This does not give you ’s Castle, but an exact replica of it. With every portrait within instead being one of yourself in various regal poses. The castle is supernaturally maintained so that even after thousands of years of abandonment there will not be a single speck of dust anywhere within. The Castle is also filled with numerous booby traps, defenses, labyrinthine tunnels and hallways, suits of enchanted armor capable of defending the castle if need be, and a docking station for the Ion Bat Ship (should you have one). The Castle is psychically linked to you so that you will always know who is within your domain. The Castle is warded to prevent anyone from the 13

outside using any means technological or to peer within. At will you can summon a thick shroud of mist and fog to completely obscure the castle and teleport it seamlessly to another location, even if said location is on another planet or dimension. You can use your psychic link to view all corners of your Castle as well as rearrange furniture within rooms or the entire layout of the Castle itself at will. Finally, the castle comes with a wine cellar that can be filled with either the finest of wine, blood, or both if you desire. It also comes with a coffin that allows you to enter a form of stasis for millennia without any ill effects. This castle will follow you to future Jumps and will retain any changes and upgrades you make to it.

Drawbacks

You may take up to 1000 CP in Drawbacks.

Not in Kansas (+0) - Obligatory choose your media Drawback. You can choose which book, movie, or game you start in that is from the Vampire Hunter D universe. And Then… (+50) - If you are a Human or Mutant your time in this world is extended by 10 years. If you are a Noble then your time in this world is extended by 100 years. This Drawback can be taken as many times as you desire. Disturbing Visage (+100) - You are ugly. As in horrendous to behold. I hope you have a mask handy because you’re going to need it. Though, even if you do people will still have a sense of unease around you. Hellish Thirst (+200) - If you are Human or Mutant then for the duration of this Jump you can choose to always feel thirsty no matter how much water you drink or be an alcoholic who can’t stop drinking. If you are a Noble then the thirst you feel for Human blood will be magnified greatly to the point that you are likely to kill many people during your stay here in order to slake your unending curse. 15

No Outside Influence (+600 / +800) - All of your powers, abilities, and items outside of this Jump a sealed away for the duration of this Jump. This also includes access to your warehouse and applies to your companions, pets, and followers. For an additional +200 you can not import companions, pets, allies, followers, or slaves. You’ll have to do this Jump alone. Evil Me (+800) - There exist a version of you in this world with ALL of your powers, abilities, and skills. He also has exact copies of any companion you bring with you with his companions having all the powers, abilities, and skills of your own. You cannot leave this Jump until he/she is dead. If you took the No Outside Influence Drawback then this version of you will be restricted to those powers you have purchased here. Hunted (+1000) - You are being hunted by the famous Vampire Hunter D himself. Well, your basically going to die. D is insane levels of OP. He once crossed infinity in an instant to strike down his enemy. He once threw a stake so fast it caught on fire. If you took No Outside Influence then you’re straight up going to die. D has been hired by a Human who thinks you killed his sister and D will not rest until you are dead.

Notes

Authors Notes: I was going to re-read the entire series and then do this Jump Doc, but I decided to make one based on the amazing movie instead. Mostly because I lost my Volume 1 of the book and partially because I’ve been so busy at work that I barely have time for anything else. If someone still wants to make a Jump about the books, or the movie if you think my version sucks, then feel free! I look forward to reading it and sending my Jumper through.

On the Universe: Vampire Hunter D is an insanely over the top incredibly dangerous universe. The writer and creator of the franchise loved like Cthulu and wanted to emulate that, just so you know what you’re getting into. A lot of the lore for Vampire Hunter D is still unexplained to this day, but I STRONGLY encourage you to at the very least watch the Animated Movie Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust and read the W iki for more information. This is NOT a first Jump, unless you pick a Greater Noble Vampire and even then it’s still very dangerous.

On Mutants: Most mutants are based on ancient myth and legends. You can fanwank your appearance to be anything you want to be so long as it looks humanoid.

17

On Nobles: The average Noble of this universe is very similar to your typical Vampire. It isn’t until you get into the Greater Nobles and beyond that this becomes over the top crazy powerful. As a Noble you have all the strengths of a Vampire, however, in this universe Vampires have a special eye sight that lets them see through walls and in different modes of vision. For a more in depth look at what you’re getting for choosing Nobles check t his out.

On Weakened Weaknesses: For greater Nobles you basically get the skill set and powers of M eier Link. This also turns you into a quasi Dhampire. For those who wanted a Dhampire option this is how you get it.

Akashic Immunity: In this universe the Sacred Ancestor has the Akashic Records and could wipe you out of existence without this perk, that’s why it’s temporary unless you spend the CP to keep it.

Undiscounted Perks: Not much is known about the spaceships the Nobility once used to fight the invading Alien race, but we can infer a bit based on other similar technologies. Overall this ship is OP as hell. As for the Akashic Records, this would basically make you God. That’s why I had to reduce it until after you gain your Spark, even then it’s pretty OP (which is why it’s so expensive).

Human Items: I had no clue Vampire Hunter D had its own version of the Bolter weapon, but way more OP. After reading about it I did a google search for the speed of the bolts fired by a Bolter weapon from Warhammer and found Vampire Hunter D is faster, more powerful, no sound, and has almost no kickback. So OP. I couldn’t find much information about the Liquid Metal Armor, but it seems to be similar to the Liquid Metal of Terminator but far more powerful. It can’t take on the shape of complicated mechanisms, unless you find a way to alter it in the future, but it is insanely durable and acts as a suit of power armor.
