Who lives here: Like its neighbors to the north and south a large amount of professional 20- and 30-somethings, but with a few more (rich) families and a mix of students from DePaul to give it its own character.

Features: • Lincoln Park Zoo • Children’s Memorial • DePaul University & associated nightlife • Large retail areas • Unique restaurant scene • A preppy, urban haven

Gael’s Apartment

Who lives here: People who think Lincoln Park is too bougie, people who can’t afford to live in Lincoln Park anymore, people who just moved to Chicago.

Features: • Wrigley Field and Boystown • LOTS of restaurants & bars • Lake nearby • Theaters for Movies and Concerts

Public transit: Many people take express bus lines (143, 146, 148) or the L Red Line.

Public transit: Pretty solid, the Blue Line links you to the Loop while buses on Fullerton and Diversey can carry you east to Lincoln Park and the lake.

Uptown/Edgewater Commute time : 30-50 min

Who lives here: long-term residents, joined by younger transplants and an expanding LGBT community

Features: • Many theaters and music venues • In between Evanston and • Proximity to the beach • Diverse neighborhood

Public transit: The Red Line and buses make it simple to travel to all parts of “downtown” Chicago

Esther and Hana’s Apartment -Edgewater -Rent: $1700 total -2 bed/1 bath -Parking space and in-unit laundry -Near redline and express bus stop -Right next to the beach/lake -25-35 minutes to campus
